Don't forget it has been stated by Gojo that his Hollow Purple didn't affect himself as much as it did Sukuna since it was his own cursed energy that hit him. Since Yuji is soaked in Sukunas cursed energy it is very much possible that Yuji can take on Sukunas attacks (maybe even the world cutting slash) without taking too much damage given Yujis already impressive sturdiness.

During the sparring match which let Sukuna put Yuji in a binding vow he one shots him with Dismantle, so there's zero reason to believe Yuji's tanking a Cleave or Dismantle from a boosted Sukuna.

Yuuji is literally one of the most coherent main characters in shonen, and all because of Gege’s amazing writing capacity, heavily inspired by HxH by Togashi. Yuuji and Gon share a lot of similarities as main characters. Both of them are thrown into this world full of merciless monsters, and suffer a great deal of emotional pain without being able to do anything about it. One key difference though is that Gege doesn’t hesitate to shift the story away from yuuji for entire arcs in order to make other characters shine, and back and forth. I absolutely love it. Now’s the time we get yuuji’s main character of a shonen arc, and I can’t wait.

I just wanna point out, that sukuna said that like yuji, “megumi had the CT potential and tolerance to withstand him, but it’d be bad if he became a cage like yuji vs a vessel.” This aligned with sukuna giving yuji somewhat of props and not downplaying yuji until maki shows up, then starts to call him weak and calls him boring after maki shows up. Along with sukuna starting to call yuji weak only after he lost to the first finger bearer by saying,” such a shame to lose to such an inferior opponent.” That’s the moment when sukuna starts to fully disrespect yuji. This makes me think sukuna knows something about yuji from back then (likely his CT) and just opted that switching vessels was the better option being that yuji likely did have a strong CT but the nature of it would never let sukuna take over the body. And calls him weak due to his CT being able to house sukuna, but he loses to such a weak special grade and cursed spirits.

But if it is a soul technique yuji has, it’d make perfect sense on how nmw sukuna could never truly override yuji’s soul coming first. Which I think sukuna knew, and why he didn’t just make a binding vow to take over, but just opted to take a whole new plan entirely of switching vessels. It’s the blatant disrespect only after he loses to the first finger bearer that made me think sukuna knew more than we do.

I don’t understand how people don’t know that Yuji is gonna do big things. Gege Akutami leaves Easter Eggs throughout the story that you can casually forget about but they always come to pass. In the Goodwill Arc I think it was were shown a flashback of a conversation between Megumi and Gojo in which Megumi is told a user of the Ten Shadows technique was able to kill a Six Eyes/Limitless user a long time ago. What happened Sukuna took Megumi’s body, and a Ten Shadows user managed to kill the strongest Six Eyes/Limitless user in history. Gege doesn’t just make statements without them amounting to nothing. This is why I believe that all the statements Gojo made will come to pass. Hakari, Yuta, and Yuji will surpass Gojo himself/exceed the rank of special grade. I also think Sukuna’s CT will be implanted into Yuji’s body which might’ve already happened since in the last chapter Yuji falls from the sky with clawed fingers similar to Sukuna’s fingers whenever he would possess Yuji’s body.

My only real problem with Yugi becoming Sukuna level is how the fans will perceive it. A common praise JJK gets is that it’s “not a typical shonen” which I don’t necessarily agree with. Once Yuji gets his get back with Sukuna, the fandom will either divide or become delusional. People banging on JJK not being “typical shonen” will feel disappointed and a divide will be made. The other option is that the fandom completely ignores these moments while still using the argument that it’s not a “typical shonen” to say it is better than other shonen series. Those types of fans will give the series a reputation similar to MHA.

I toyed around with this idea too. The world stops time while infinity indefinitely slows down how much time it takes to reach him. It isn’t a psychical barrier it’s just infinite space so yes dio would be able to hit gojo. Other than time stop dio has generic abilities (strength speed and can fly. It was never confirmed if he had his vampire abilities in part 3 or like araki I forgot.) Gojo isn’t just infinity, rct is always running so the second the time stop ends he would just heal up. Plus red blue and purple. If dio gets hit is UV it’s gg. If dio goes for the head durning his 9seconds it’s gg. So 50/50

Yuji already shows relativity to Maki, and is able to tangle with special grade level sorcerers and curses with just reinforcement and cursed energy manipulation alongside his h2h. Yeah he definitely doesn’t have a lot of favorable matchups due to his vulnerability to hax but the second that changes Yujis power level will skyrocket. Geges also been foreshadowing mad abilities and a couple power ups Yuji has in his future since literally the very beginning. He just never gave them to him, he’s just been getting stronger with his main skillset by fighting so many uphill battles. It would make total sense if Yuji spent the last month grinding, and with his already savant level of CE control, learns RCT, simple domain, domain amplification alongside abusing his status as a perfect vessel and eating either all of or just a part of every cursed object/tool(including the death paintings) and gets a huge amp to his physical stats. That’s all without any of the very nebulous soul shenanigans geges been cooking up. We know for a fact hes got some kind of soul swap ability but we don’t know if that’s the sole use of a CT or just something Yuji learned through soul manipulation. Depending on how gege handles how Yujis soul powers He could have his own variant of idle transfiguration that’s less precise and has less versatility than Mahitos(bc Yuji would be free handing it Mahitos technique did the work for him) and literally any number of soul hax Gege wants to give him. Yuji could enter the fight absolutely cracked and None of it would be an ass pull as long as he’s given abilities that fit with his character, the narrative and don’t flip the power dynamic entirely. He doesn’t even need to be more powerful than Sukuna or Gojo, he just needs ways to be a counter to Sukuna and he’s already halfway their due to being essentially a living Sukuna finger himself now and if Gojo wasn’t capping then that means Sukunas attacks won’t hurt Yuji as much as they would anyone else:

My theory is that yuji CT affects the very balance of the jujitsu world even above the level of gojo& sukuna. If you look at those two, they cause the scale to tip and compensate for their very existence, but if you look at the times yuji manipulated the memories of his foes the common denominator was the oppositions intent to kill with yuji's lack of intent. I think yuji techniques will force the scale to balance in his favor turning malevolence into benevolence and vice versa without even fighting. I think people sleep on the rage buff yuji gets. Hell yuta in Volume zero jumped by MANY levels cuz of the rage boost he got. Where yuta is a cursed energy power house when raged, yuji is a left, right, uppercut goodnight power house when raging THAT EVEN SUKUNA is just like "what the hell is this??". Yuji having control of cursed energy can now incorporate rage properly and with a CT ALONG with being blessed by black flash?? GEGE IS COOKING

Why not just have any critters around? Yuji throws a frog in a surprise attack, switch himself with the frog, then Sukuna so he gets trapped inside the frog and then he goes back into his own body.

My theory is that they’re going to shut off Sukana’s cursed technique, but then he’s going to pull out the ten shadows as that’s technically Megumi’s and he’s innocent. And because it’s still Megumi’s body, the executioner’s sword won’t work either. Just my thoughts.

1 have a crazy theory Sukuna, his ritual technique is cursed energy manipulation and does not cut as we have been told, the reason for this I think is because: first of all his domain expansion is called a cursed reliquary, not something like cooking or the sanctuary of cuts, it is a cursed reliquary, so you have to do with cursed energy and maybe not with cuts, also having this ability would give more meaning to the ability to manipulate energy at your fucking whim, which we already saw, and of course change ritual technique WHICH WE ALREADY SAW IN HIS FIGHT WITH JOGO... it's just a theory and can easily fail

I think Yuji is more deeply intertwined with Sukuna than we’re made to understand. I’ve felt that since the beginning of the story. When Gojo told Yuji that he’d be executed for being Sukuna’s vessel, I felt very strongly that Sukuna’s demise would go hand in hand with Yuji’s.
