How to Cut Worktops Part 2 How to cut laminate Worktop Corner joint

Hi in this video I'm still cutting laminate worktops using my router. This time 2 side worktops with male cut and also I'm connecting 2 worktops together using connectors. Thanks for Watching.

This is ok but lacking lots of detail. If you want a much better video I recommend the one in Tommy's Trade Secrets which is really excellent and ideal if you've never done a Mason's mitre - the explanation is much better and covers every step meticulously.

Really nice job. I watched your video and installed my own worktop. I should read comments as I borrowed a elu router(same as dewalt 625) with a bit but it was blunt. Very minor chips after cut! I'll do another worktop soon and will remember use a new bit. Thank you very much!

I always put a tiny thin bead of silicone on the bottom half of the joint to give it that extra proofing and stick.. Great video tho! I've subscribed 100%

Nice video, but no biscuits or wood glue, the colourfill is purely a filler and will not adhere the the joint.

How do you accurately measure the cut.....it’s all well and good showing us how to put the pins in and the. Showing us how the router operates, but where do you set you measurement? What if the walls run out? Those tips would be more useful.

Make the router cut first and then cut to the correct length on the opposite end.

I never use a biscuit joints for worktops. But every time new set of blades as worktops are quite expensive and heavy to carry.......up the stairs. Just take your time and check everything before cutting.
