Why does he always take calls from her? She doesn't bring anything to the table, she isn't funny, she isn't interesting, she isn't talented, she just yells on the phone........She is a perfect example of why the Stern show isn't funny anymore. Stern gets on the air, plays a few phony phone calls, interviews someone he has interviewed 20 times before, takes a call from Bobo, Balls, and Maryann, does the news and there is his show. With him only being on 3 days a week, the show should be better than ever. Howard Stern from 1985-2005 would be embarrassed on what his show has become. Come back old Stern. Fire your yes men you have on the scene and bring in some real comedians to help write the show.

What you are hearing from her is a thick New York accent. The people from Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Staten Island have thick accents. People who are from Manhattan and Queens have an accent. but it is not as pronounced.

She obviously has a strong accent but that's not the cause of her funny sounding voice. The reason her voice is so gravelly is that she had her tonsils and adenoids taken out as a child and got a severe infection that permanently altered her vocal cords, the strong Brooklyn accent just makes it even more pronounced.
