Howard Stern to anti-vaxxers: 'You had the cure and you wouldn't take it'
By Marianne Garvey, CNN
Howard Stern is over the Covid-19 pandemic and is taking on anti-vaxxers who refuse to get the shot.
Speaking on his SiriusXM satellite radio show about the recent deaths of several anti-vaxxer radio hosts, Stern said people who won't get vaccinated are "idiots" and called for vaccinations to be mandatory.
"When are we gonna stop putting up with the idiots in this country and just say it's mandatory to get vaccinated? F--- 'em. F--- their freedom. I want my freedom to live," he said. "I want to get out of the house already. I want to go next door and play chess. I want to go take some pictures. This is bull----."
Stern, who is vaccinated, is also frustrated over Covid patients who chose not to get vaccinated causing hospitals to be overwhelmed.
"If you have a heart attack or any kind of problem, you can't even get into the E.R. And I'm really of mind to say, 'Look, if you didn't get vaccinated and you got Covid, you don't get into a hospital.'"
For emphasis, he added, "You had the cure and you wouldn't take it."

Howard Stern responds to controversy over resurfaced blackface performance
By Chloe Melas, CNN
Howard Stern is speaking out after a television special from 1993 resurfaced in which the radio host appears in blackface and repeatedly used racist language.
Stern addressed the controversial performance on his SiriusXM show Monday.
"The sh*t I did was f***ing crazy," Stern said. "I'll be the first to admit. I won't go back and watch those old shows; it's like, who is that guy? But that was my shtick, that's what I did and I own it. I don't think I got embraced by Nazi groups and hate groups. They seemed to think I was against them too. Everybody had a bone to pick with me."
The offensive sketch is from a pay-per-view New Year's Eve special in which Stern and his longtime co-host, Robin Quivers satirized a Friar's Club Roast of Whoopi Goldberg in 1993 where Ted Danson, who was then dating Goldberg, had dressed in blackface.
Danson received widespread criticism at the time, but the Associated Press reported that Goldberg and some other African-American celebrities also came to his defense.
Danson reflected on the incident in a 2009 interview with NPR, calling it "a graceless moment in my life."
CNN has contacted Danson's representative for comment.
Stern, 66, went on to say that if he had a chance to do it all over again he wouldn't have worn blackface.

@@canadianperspective3731 Actually I started figuring out about shipping jobs overseas, decades ago, back in the 1980s. Every now and then in the newspaper, I read that middle class wages are not going up. At the same time I had a lot of friends from Hong Kong and Singapore. I took an interest in the rise of China and have some investments there. So I eventually figured out the scam: The rich in America offshored jobs, to save on wages. Chinese are very bright and hardworking and they have 1.2 billion poor but smart people, willing to work for lunch money. So the Chinese opened up for capitalism, the American elite stabbed the American worker in the back. After a few decades of this, a political candidate finally spoke the truth on this. That was our current President, Donald Trump, who has done a lot of business with the Chinese, knew exactly how America got stabbed in the back by our elites. (both Republicans and Democrats were in on the scam) So sorry....I figured this out on my own. Long, long before it became news.

No, really. That does sound right. He likes the prestige and talking to crowds. Everything else, not so much. I do think he’s determined to win re-election and his chances are looking pretty good. I have no doubt this started as a publicity stunt, which is why the media couldn’t stop talking about it-and they all basically voted him in. Since he’s been in office, he’s done a few good things that I know of, and, it doesn’t seem like this he’s well-suited to several aspects of the job, in part due to the high narcissism.

@Snaggle Toothed For the same reason that being in need of insulin for one's diabetes, or dialysis for one's kidneys is a weakness. How can a person who needs psychotherapy not be in a weaker position than someone who does not need it? It's like looking at two guys carrying heavy equipment, where one of those guys needs a back brace and a knee brace in order to keep up with the guy who needs nothing in order to do the job. Are not the first guy's needs for those devices a weakness?

@@crakdjdj No. I ASKED you if you're a scinetologist. Why is psychotherapy a sign of weakness? People with psychological trauma, PTSD (usually suffered by veterans that fought in wars!) Strong young men and women soldiers, men and women who have been abused, strong people who have lost a child (I hope you never have to suffer this) people with physical chronic infirmities or disabilities, strong people born with physical deformities that are shunned by society, etc. deserve whatever help they can get.
