It makes me so uncomfortable and its so cringe how they keep shouting over Julian and not letting him talk. Especially when they're talking shit about John, Yoko and Sean and you can hear that Julian is uncomfortable with it, or wants to end the conversation but they just won't stop. It's weird how they're acting all angry and literally talking over Julian about his own life and hardships!

@@42663 to me it just comes across like he's shouting over Julian and telling him what to feel, and it sounds like Julian is uncomfortable and doesn't really want to discuss it. But I can understand having that opinion on Yoko. I have childhood trauma and if someone was shouting over me like that, and acting more enraged than I was about my own trauma then it would potentially be triggering and I'd feel quite upset by that, especially if I was trying to hint that I didn't want to talk to or bring it up again.

I would love it if Julian went to the Stern show again, in Sirius Howard has more time to interview. Here on regular radio he has to entertain within a very short time. This is still a good interview, same when Cynthia and May visited. During this time (1993) Julian wasn't in the media much.

People saying that Stern was so out of line, talking about his estate etc. Julian is certainly aware of what he was calling into. I took it the other way. HS seemed to really recognize that Julian is being treated poorly and that he shouldn’t be treated with such indifference. I’m sure that made Julian feel validated . Anyone who asks for or is invited to his show know very well how HS is. I liked that he was so passionate about his disdain for Julian’s treatment because it is horrid

Agreed, but I do like his no filter, I don't care what anybody thinks interview style, he just needed to ratchet it back a bit and let guests finish their thoughts. Current Howard does let guests speak more but now he's a schmoozer and doesn't ask the challenging questions.

Fairly recently, I actually realized that my hero, John, was a very bad father to Julian since he was a young, blameless nipper, which made me lose a lot of respect for John. And now, since hearing this Howard interview, I'm really freakin' upset. My biological father deserted my entire family when I was 11 years old, never to see him again (I'm 74 now) so I understand a bit of where Julian's coming from. PS: He was very respectful when talking about J and Y, no? I would have been much less so.
