I love the Andalusian horse or PRE as they are known. I was lucky enough to own and train one and ride her for 20 years. This video shows an Arabian horse a couple of times it is the sorrel with the blaze, once is around 11 minutes. The PRE is a smart breed and a loving breed. I never had a better companion than my Andy mare. My only worry with this breed is the thick neck they are prone to laminitis they are horses that can't take lush pastures they are more suited for the high desert. I would be afraid to own one again as I had to constantly monitor the grazing and food intake.

Well if you look a bit into modern breeders, you can find some andalusian bloodlines without this problems. You can check our web. For example, Altanera or Zuapa are more modern types.

I thought Spaniards brought horses into north America when they came over on ships in what is k own today as Mexico and they set them loose when they left. They migrated into America where they dispersed onto the Plains and became wild horses. So, if this is true, we have Andelusian blood in Appaloosa horses.

There are mustangs with dna that marks them as descended from the Spanish horses brought to the Americas by the conquistadors.Quarter Horses have Andalusian in their ancestry.Could be some in the Morgan horse as well.

The Andalusian and PRE's are a product of native horses on the Iberian Peninsula and the horses the Moors brought with them(Arabs and Barbs). They are not the horses in cave paintings. They are a wonderful animal to work with, but man lotta fairy tales in this video.

important note here, narrator. God created ALL life on earth [and elsewhere]; thus GOD Who IS PERFECTION did not err in giving this breed 'inappropriate size neck so that it cannot do work efficiently FOR WHICH BREED WAS BORN TO DO!' it's MAN'S TAMPERING WITH GOD'S CREATION - horses - that RESULTS in DEFECT of neck which interferes with movement of Andulusian horse performing its work!!' AGAIN, MANKIND MESSING THINGS UP! what a gorgeous horse GOD THE CREATOR created!

A swan neck is a confirmation fault in ALL breeds and it is NOT desirable in the Arabian horse as indicated in this video.

It's a "ewe" neck. Found in the Akhal Teke horse, and it's not a fault. As long as the spine is fine within the neck, it's ok.

How long did it take you to find the one registry that finds poor neck structure acceptable? Please do a simple search to help educate yourself about neck structure and conformation. Swan and Ewe necks are both faults.
