Very little is said about Robert DeLeo. He wrote most of STPs hits including this song. His bass playing is sublime. He pays homage to Blues, Jazz and fusion. Not to mention backup vocals. STP is nothing without Robert.

It's because of the slide guitar in the intro, the action is set too low and it frets out. He has a specific guitar with taller action that he uses for that song.

there were a few little imprefections, lol and it still sounded great. I bet most guitar players can't play those chords. Not crazy hard, but very interesting chords you don't see all the time. I can't even fathom how they played them with a different tuning or w/e the issue was.

I saw them in Las Vegas back in 1994. My brother and I went and it was our first concert ever. The opening band was Redd Kross. The experience was surreal. It felt like a haze of noise and sound but they could play. They played very well and at the time I didn’t appreciate how rare it was for bands to actually be able to perform live.

Went to HS with Eric Kretz @ Willow Glen High School. He was one of the nicest guys you could meet. Glad to see he's still enjoying life.

So grateful I was able to see Scott perform with Velvet Revolver it was such an incredible experience to witness. I'm forever in my mom and dad's debit for introducing me to such a great band that was Stone Temple Pilots when I was a kid
