The best singer of my generation. I lived in Seattle 93-96 & I’d see Chris all over the place. We had common friends & he was truly a beautiful soul. ☮️

Tom Morello is the ultimate wordsmith. He could read the phone book and I’d be enthralled.

Tom is a national treasure. Howie recognizes this and did a good job pacing his questions and letting Tom talk. Great clip.

He talks A LOT tho. There's a lot of stuff they didn't cover. Even Robin said that at the end.

Same here. I remember hearing some of the warm up on the radio, and started crying realizing, for some reason this was probably my last chance of seeing soundgarden

Matt Gilstrap I had the Pleasure of witnessing Chris Cornell's Higher Truth Acoustic Tour and Man! It was a Mindblowingly Awesome Experience! One of the Best Shows I have witnessed, and I feel so fortunate to have witnessed it...because sadly almost a Year later he was Gone....I feel Blessed to have Experienced his Greatness
@Rebeljake253 жыл бұрын
That's a real bummer man. I saw Soundgarden live and I saw Chris do an acoustic show live. Saying those shows were good is a massive understatement. Sorry you didn't get the chance man.
@myless.54933 жыл бұрын
I'm glad Morello keeps bringing up his melody writing. Melody writing is probably the toughest part of a song, as there are a million different melodies you can come up with. And Chris chose the best

Wow, that was one of the most interesting bits on Chris I've heard " dark of countenance". Morello is so bright and engaging. I love it when Howard just lets someone be on a roll and is fascinated by them. Would love to hear this whole interview

Super story. 👌 Morello is a top man, as well as a top guitarist. 👨🏽🦲 🎸 To have worked with arguably 2 of the best front men & lyricists of the past 30 years and to have enhanced what they had... WOW. 😍 Thank you for both bands and the magic music that has helped be the backbone, and some of the soundtrack, to my/this crazy life. 👍 👏 😜 R.I.P. > Chris. So lucky to have seen you play live 3 times in the UK. ❤️

Saw an early Soundgarden show at Illinois State U one night. Hate to say it but it left me with an awful foreboding feeling that took my joy away. They somehow blossomed. Audioslave and Pearl Jam members were the result. So glad it turned for the good.
