One of Howard Sterns best interview ever
@meveevem100111 ай бұрын
I have loved Barbra for 50 years! And had the great privilege of seeing her sing at Sun Devil Stadium after filming when she suddenly, impromptu, started singing with the band and just a small gathering of people around - maybe 25 at Sun Devil stadium in 1975. I was with my boyfriend when Barbra sang - among other songs - The Way We Were. The sun was just setting in the ‘golden hour’ - it was pure magic.

This is no compliment to her. Marlon Brando was extremely promiscuous, he would've slept with just about anyone, but the way she tells the story I'm thinking he was just kidding around and actually friend zoned her. She's romantizing the past. There's No doubt Marlon found a willing partner less than five minutes after any rejection. He was the most famous actor of the time period.

That first come on line, of Brando’s, was a vulgar to Barbara. She didn’t come up with that word, impromptu, but I think it is the perfect word choice based on how she described she felt about that word.
