Mrs. Riddehough, the English teacher at Barrowford Secondary Modern School was the lady with the old english sheepdog. Lovely to see the Congregational Church tower in the clip outside the poloce station. A really enjoyable film to look back on.

Wonderful film I never knew existed! Barrowford park where I had many happy hours in the 60's the cemetery above where my Nan,Mum,Dad and sister rest. Remember the bowls hut and the other areas, the Police station on Gisburn Rd, Stanlet St Nelson Pendle Hill. I left Lancashire 33 yrs ago but happy memories. There are no credits on the film, who was the little girl in leg irons and the newspaper hack. Thank you.

Thanks for adding this to KZbin. My father, Harry Boocock, was a long time member of Pendle Film Society, and was one of the cameramen for this film. I have a small part in this film, along with my elder brother Robert, in the scene of the children on the building site - hot 'on location' as the new homes (at that time) were being built on Lower Parrock Road, very close to Victoria Park. Good memories, thanks again.

I've just spotted this link. I was Chairman of the Pendle Film Society when the film won its Movie Maker Gold Star and it was shown as a one off at a Manchester cinema (I can't remember which one). Harry Boocock, Arthur ?? of Holdens of Preston and many others, including your Dad (Grandad?) were all great friends. The Golden Days of Synchrodeks and Bolex v Eumig etc. The outlay for the 16mm was a BIG decision but it proved worth it. Thanks for the memories.
