That last animation with the boot was definitely him! It was on his Twitter a few years ago. And yeah, Vincent is a monster when it comes to his animations. His sense of scale, understanding of 3d space and camera movement, and character and action animation go above and beyond so many other anime productions! Absolute treat to watch whenever he's on something!

Wow sir, It's so interesting to see you explain these stuffs. I get to learn so much more from your videoes. Vincent is such a truly great animator. Nowadays, he is literally known as "The God of Impact frames". You should break down the fight between Zoro and King . There he just crushed it . He animated most of the scenes in 1's and he tells character story through his impact frames. That's crazy😯😯.

Great video thank you!! Does anyone have any good recommendations or links for behind the scenes of anime action that shows artists using reference please? There are loads of videos showing breakdowns/layout etc but the actual early process of gathering references or filming themselves for an anime action sequence are few and far between.

quick question but what do you mean by "artworking department"? there's things like background art which are done by an art department yes, but i think you might've confused the compositing (or photography) department with something else for some of the examples you showed? it's mainly because one or two of these cuts didn't exactly require a piece of background art in it. great video by the way, just wanted some clarity on that real quick.
@HowardWimshurst2 ай бұрын
By artworking department I am short hand referring to everything visual that comes after Genga and Douga. This can include color designs, BG art, coloring and compositing. I also use "artworked" as a verb, meaning to bring it from a rough animation to a fully rendered animation that you would see as the final result on tv.
