So funny that I received an email telling me about this video 1 hour before I have my first patient in Australia (I'm a speech pathologist from Chile). Thanks Bruce.

Hello Bruce, thank you for your video. Were you aware if considerable distortion with the sound? It does make it difficult to follow, ehich is a shame, as the content is going to be both fascinating and useful. Thank you again, Bruce.

Ed, my regular microphone failed on this video, and so I had to use the audio from the camera. I tried to clean it up, but it ended up less than optimal. I hope you can still get something out of it.

Excellent video, and couldn't agree more with the filler words.

I just recorded a video on this topic (not out yet). I'm hoping I saw some different things. Just starting yours so we'll see.

Sir I think by mistake you forgot to add video link in side menu that you were talking about.

Hi Bruce! Your lectures are of a very high value and I follow you regularly. I would have a request to you if it would be possible: your mic doesn't adjust well to your speech (volume and pitch) also the room creates a slight but constant echo. The mic sometimes cuts you off and other times is almost hurting the ear-drums. Please, if you could get a better replacement for the mic you have, it would make this experience so much more memorable and easier to listen. Thank you, for the awesome content.

This video had terrible audio! My main mic failed and I only had camera audio. Then I tried to post process it to sound better. And it still sounds crappy. Sorry

I hope I don’t upset you but this video I couldn’t see because it was to annoying with the lagging sound. I couldn’t focus at all on what you were saying and I very politely wonder why you published it when the sound is so poorly or is it only in my end the problem is? Would you perhaps consider making a new one? And like I said: i really do not mean to upset you in any way. Quite the opposite: I think your videos and your channel is so good that I would want to see a version that doesn’t have sound issues. As an autistic person I have learned very much of great value watching several videos on your channel so I am very grateful for having found your channel. Thank you so very much, with kind regards from Sweden

I don’t see any problem. Probably on your end. Maybe reload the video and try again?

@@HowCommunicationWorks I tried because I thought so too but I got the same exact problem both on my phone and my tv and I have not experienced any issues at all with your other videos so this is a mystery for me. Do you have the video somewhere outside KZbin so I could try to watch it. I would love to because as mentioned previously I really do find great value in your videos. I might otherwise try to watch it again in the future if maybe somehow it was some issue on my WiFi and the video somehow was preloaded and therefore showed the same lagging issue on both devices. I am certainly no expert on that. But thank you for replying to me so that I know it was not the video itself.

How do you compete with the person with low credibility who is saying what the crowd wants to hear?

It’s tough. Especially in the current media environment. Credibility seems to have less and less relevance in a age of superficial messaging.

@@HowCommunicationWorks Thanks. If there’s any research on this, we’d love to hear about it! If not, this could be a promising direction for future research.
