Yes, but how much better is this than the hundreds of videos where the presenter feels a need to express amazement and excitement, as if the subject needs sensationalising in order to retain our interest? (And to dumb-down the explanation and repeat each part three times.) Just watch it again when your focus is back in alert mode. David, don't change a thing.

Some astronomy/physics presentations in KZbin seem too dumbed down as if intended for preschoolers, some are pure hype and obnoxious jargon, intros or bumper music. Even the more academic videos are tedious, filled with math, technical mumbo jumbo or simply unbearably long. Then I came across one of your works and, to my surprise, everything I ever wanted in a science video I found it in yours. From How Small Is It to How Old Is It and every other video you've posted have been a most valuable tool for the understanding of science for a dumb peeson like myself. Thanx so much, David. If the sun turned off like a light switch we would still see the sun for 8 minutes. The sun is miles away. The nearest sun after our sun is light years away. Cars go 70 miles an HOUR. We are quantumly Small. And yet so big compared to the very small. Welcome to life and to your everything.💖⭐️☮️🌹. This is the video I’ve been looking for recently. I’ve wondered how star formation works. But what I don’t understand is how large the first stars have to be to create these gigantic nebulas. Or were many of these large nebulas created by multiple star explosions? For example 30 Doradus is 1000+ light years across, how can a single star explosion create such a massive nebula like this? And wouldn’t it be forming stars very quickly which would just be colliding all over the place and making more of a mess? Space is such a strange place….
@howfarawayisit2 жыл бұрын
It takes lots of stars making lots of dust over lots of time to form a nebula like this one.

The big difference between this program (and all similar programs) and the 'biggest baddest sieve' you could find. The sieve would hold a gazillion times more 'water'. I keep hearing words i.e. big bang, particle clouds, hydrogen, helium, nitrogen..... etc. The FIRST and most important law of chemistry is"Matter Can Neither Be Created or Destroyed"!! So; if the big bang really truly happened and the trillions & trillions of tons of matter that was compressed into that tiny speck of matter: WHERE'D IT ALL COME FROM? WHO MADE OR DESIGNED IT? if we had a chance to visit the most modern, the most intelligent Lab in the world and saw the fastest most intelligent computer in the world. We ask the scientist, "When did computer arrive at your facility and how did you arrange for such a complex piece of equipment and how much Did it cost." The question we WOULD NOT ASK, " When did this computer just come into being and how many millions of years did it take to evolve from a pebble!!😂 AWFULLY SILLY of me to suggest that any kind of instrument or device could simply evolve from a pebble. Don't we Agree on that point? INTELLIGENT DESIGN WAS THE ONLY FACTOR in the creation of LIFE & MAN. There is a GOD IN HEAVEN and he is coming back SOON, VERY VERY SOON. He will have an 'attitude' against ALL who have rejected his Only Begotten Son - JESUS CHRIST. God will judge and CAST all who have REJECTED JESUS CHRIST, into the Eternal Lake of Fire. All the details are in a copy of the. KJV BIBLE or at a local, Bible Believing Church. The only person's headed to eternal damnation are those who choose to reject JESUS CHRIST. The choice is YOURS: CHOOSE WISELY. Hell is forever and so is Heaven.

Isaiah 14 13You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. b 14I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” 15But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit. 16Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: “Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, 17the man who made the world a wilderness, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?”
