We run an 1394 avalanche on a John deere 8410 and we are mostly flat ground and it gets around OK, hills are most definitely a problem, weight being the biggest problem. Love the avalanche carts though

It’s not necessarily a low profile, it’s just a flat bottom cart with an auger feed in the bottom toward the unload auger up front, and not a gravity wagon style cart where it all slopes to the middle and then up and out. The harvest crew I was on runs 1396 avalanches and the the other older style cart like you had last year.

couple ideas what we did is used a large chain and wraped it around the drew bar and over the lower arms of the 3 pt hitch to support the draw bar if you still have the smaller buggy i would just guess it off at about 850 to 900 on the big cart then load up the smaller buggy with a good size load on it i have also seen guys set the bigger cart up and use smaller buggy to load their bigger cart just ideas i have used when i was a farm hand and working with what i had to work with i really do hope these ideas help you guys

I would say its about time ya get 1300 bu dual auger cart, being able to unloading 850 bu a minute really nice to have. I did think Ryan left out a major advantage with dual auger grain that ground pressure is better compared just a corner auger if the 1396 had tracks ya even have less ground pressure...

The tires are on the correct way for the cart. On axles that don’t have power going to them they get turned that way so they pull easier. When you get in mud with the lugs hitting the ground the way they are facing it helps to turn the tires.
