DESCRIPTION
Welcome to HowFixit! In this video, I'll take you through a step-by-step guide on how to disassemble Dell Latitude E6320, E6420, E6520 laptop, clean its fans, and replace the thermal paste. Our comprehensive tutorial will equip you with the knowledge of fixing laptop overheating issues. From disassembling your laptop to cleaning the fan and heatsink from dust and applying thermal paste, we've got you covered. Say goodbye to overheating and hello to improved performance!
Laptop Disassembly Guide:
Disassembling your laptop may seem daunting, but I'll break it down into easy-to-follow steps. You'll learn how to remove the laptop's casing, locate and clean the heatsink and fans, and access to CPU for thermal paste replacement. By following this guide, you'll gain a deeper understanding of your laptop's internals and how to keep it running smoothly.
Fan Cleaning Techniques:
Dust and debris can accumulate in your laptop's fans and heatsink over time, leading to reduced airflow and increased temperatures. I'll show you effective methods to clean your laptop using an antistatic brush and proper handling techniques. By keeping your cooling system clean, you'll prevent overheating and extend the lifespan of your laptop.
Thermal Paste Replacement:
Thermal paste plays a crucial role in transferring heat from the laptop's CPU and GPU to the heatsink. However, over time, a thermal paste can dry out and lose its effectiveness. I'll guide you through the process of removing the old thermal paste and applying a fresh, high-quality one. This step is vital for optimal heat dissipation and temperature management. Don't let an overheating laptop slow you down! Watch this comprehensive guide and take control of your laptop's temperature. By performing regular fan cleaning and thermal paste replacement, you'll ensure smooth operation, prevent hardware damage, and extend the life of your laptop. Hit the play button now and let's get started!

Trotzdem gut gearbeitet. Antistatic gloves but magnetic screwdriver directly when working on the CPU... Fan cleaning would also have been possible without dismantling the CPU cooler. I would have put the screws in a small bowl, straight CPU screws... the cooler has to sit properly. Before replacing the cooling paste, make sure that there is no dust particle to be seen. Otherwise, I know what a job it is to disassemble a Latitude. Still worked well.

I have the same laptop Dell Latitude E7440 + Ubuntu 12.04.5, and there is a problem! When the laptop is cool - cooler turns right! When the laptop heats up - the cooler is spinning faster. When the laptop is running under a load of 80%, the cooler accelerates to 100%, and then, when the temperature comes vnormu, cooler still spinning at 100% speed. You do not have these problems?

Nice video, but there is a 0% chance of getting the fan replaced in this laptop. 75 screws and 20 hardware pieces later... No way it will ever get back together.

WAY TOO MUCH WORK for only fan cleaning. This video is how to take the WHOLE thing apart, not simply fan cleaning. Find another if your fan is overheating to clean it. Use a Vacuum cleaner on intake port first step.
@howfixit
@howfixit 8 жыл бұрын
yes, there's lot of actions that you need to do to clean fan. Vacuum cleaner won't help at all. Preasured air can help to keep fan clean: if use it at least one time a week. If there's dust pillow in the fan vacuum cleaner or preasured air won't help - disassembly is the only way to remove it. Also vacuum cleaner won't replace thermal grease on CPU.
