pro tip: u can use 99% isopropyl alcohol to loosen the glue holding the home button a bit. makes it much safer to remove

We start to replace my iphone 7 plus battery. After that the home button is not working well so we decide to buy a new home button. When the repair man try to put the new home button he said that. The problem is the lcd so we need to buy a new lcd to fix the home button. Idk if i should believe it. But im going to try i hope it will work. And some other repair shop said we need to program the home button to work again.

How come the fingerprint still works, like I hit it hard with my knuckles on the back after seeing some one do it & it worked but the presing was very hard & only worked for one day, cand there be just something stuck there & the buton not have any of the band riped

You need to heat the phone up with a heat gun or hair dryer and then put a book on top of it for 30 min to one hour to activate the seal.

or you can use clamps. which are better in my opinion. But books work just as good if you dont have the clamps

Thanks for the video. I’m at the point of connecting the male and female connection of the Home assemble. I have watched several assembly videos and they just press the two together and they latch. I tried more light, more magnification but I cannot get them to latch together, any suggestions? Thanks

Nice video but tey not to use metal tool to remove home buttom Use same plastic tool u used to unplug connector U can put some alcohol in the tip if u want Instead of putting tool from end to pill the buttom u can start from middle is already loose then work ur way to end carefully thats all easier like that

@@Guruzey it won't. the iphone 7 home buttons are unique to each logic board, a different one wont work at all as a home button- just for decoration.

I had that too, but after turning the phone on and off again or something, it worked as a button, for everything except touch ID.

it wil work but fingerprint not, the home button is linked to the logic board which means they only work together, you would need a new logicboard + home button that are linked
