I was a Chicago Bears fan when it was football and not basketball with helmets. Howie Long was the only non Bear player I would root for. A ‘Manster’ when he played, and an engaging dignified football analyst in his following career. I thoroughly enjoyed this insight. Now all he needs is to be featured on a ‘Finding Your Roots’ episode, like his broadcast buddy.

One thing Howie lefted out, he was playing in Oakland and at that time they were bad ass and where seen as being tough. I lived in Oakland from 1981 to 1990, and since then the Raiders have been seen as weak.
