Hey, could you make a video dedicated to invisibility and how it interacts with the stealth and sneak mechanics?

Beautiful video. Thank you for making abbreviated presentations - I like recommending the short version for my players.

Small note, Hide is also a secret roll done by the GM, not just Sneak.

Pleasee explain about the invisibility spell and also about other sensory perceptions. Like what happen when you blind a target and the target have scent. or if I am invisible and the target have scent. how the rules work there? Thanks!

If you haven't seen by video on the Basics of Perception, I would recommend you check that out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4nQkGR_d8mIbKM Scent for humans is a Vague Sense, so that won't help with an invisible enemy. But if the creature is, say, a Warg, then it can use Scent as an Imprecise Sense within 30 feet. Imprecise Senses cannot be used to "Observe" a target -- the best they can accomplish is the "Hidden" state of awareness. So if an invisible person is within 30 feet of a Warg, that person will be "Hidden" to that Warg. Which means the Warg will know exactly what square they're standing in, but will need to pass a flat check every time they attack the invisible person (because of the Hidden condition).

Hate to be that guy, but if you hide an object anywhere but on your person, it is the same as if it was hidden on your person. Second paragraph. Every check by a searcher/observer is against the Stealth DC of the character. I think you *said* it right, but your second bullet point is typed incorrectly.

Thanks! I'll flag this for a future update.

The boxed text on the left explains it correctly, it's as you said only the 2nd bullet point that needs an update, but that confused me a lot when I watched it first, so thanks for pointing it out!

Does this mean you can't sneak up behind someone and then do a sneak attack? Because that would mean you weren't concealed at the end of your sneak action.
@HowItsPlayed3 жыл бұрын
No, you can still make that Sneak Attack. The success text of the Sneak action includes this bit: "If you attempt to Strike a creature, the creature remains flat-footed against that attack, and you then become observed."

If one person in a party observes a creature that is undetected by the rest of the party, can they verbally give away their location to make the creature just hidden for everyone else?

This would be an example of the Point Out action (page 472 of the Core Rulebook, page 419 of Player Core).
