I have experienced this when I was travelling from Bangalorr to Vizag. Once I couldn't get tickets in tatkal and thought of going in general as I was travelling day time. It was Yeshvanthpur Hatia express, fully crowded exactly like this train only. I couldn't travel, so got down at Vijayawada and took bus to Vizag and never thought of travelling in General compartment.

Many factors have contributed to make train travel a torture for the ordinary passenger 1the enormous population of the country 2.the culture of mass ticketless travel 3.no TTE will enter any of these compartments to check ticket less travel 4.the railways will have to run 100 more trains everyday in these routes which is not possible . So we grin and bear it .

Hi ajay I also experienced this type of journey 4 times from hyderabad to chennai ,literally you can't do anything for 14 hours even you can't able to go natural cause.
