Would you ever consider making a savory cake instead of a sweet cake? Possibly a bad idea but just something different for a change. For example: When we have meatloaf for dinner I will occasionally bake it into little individual meatloaves that look like cupcakes for my kids. I combine the raw meatloaf ingredients and press the mix into a cupcake pan and bake them. Which also drastically reduces baking time. When they are done I frost them using a pastry bag filled with mashed potatoes that I sometimes color with food coloring to make it closer to resembling frosting. I then (per request) use a dollop of ketchup on top as a cherry. My kids love when I make cupcakes for dinner. It's so much fun so it would be nice to have a few more ideas for something like that to make.
