Hi, I am an 83 year old UK viewer of this video. I have looked at so many KZbin videos about operating this watch, but I think yours is the best! I have only looked at half of your video so far, but I am really impressed. I have had this watch for 18 months and still learning how to use it. (at 83 not so quick as I was). Your video has already provided me with details I wasn't aware of, and therefore making it more enjoyable and simple to use. Keep up the good work! Many thanks. Terry Davis

There is not much people with your experience that still come on KZbin to learn by themself, and the fact that you use that watch tell me that you are still active. You are a great exemple! Brand spanking new to these watches. Well according to the garmin page I tried an instinct for like 2 hours back in 2021. I got the fenix 6 solar pro something BUT i can't get the screen to stay bright enough to even read. Read somewhere that some of the Solara have some blue tint to them , starting to think I should swap out for fenix 6 solar X which I believe has a clearer screen & larger. If that's the case then that would solve the issues I'm having aside from garmin not letting me add apps stating I need the newest download yet there isn't anything newer I can download which maybe is a thing of there's???

Hi! Thank you for making such an amazing video. As someone completely new to garmin watches, your video has been incredibly helpful. I had a question, if you don't mind. I bought myself a Fenix 6 solar, and I noticed that I don't seem you have the watchface you're using. Is that normal?

@@HowToPM Ahh okay, that makes a lot of sense! Another possibly stupid question, but I've noticed that my watch doesn't have the same smooth animations as yours. For example, when you click in to the weather widget around 4:46, it "zooms in" very nicely. And inversely, when you go back, it "zooms out". On my watch, there are no transitions. Is that possibly another pro only feature?

When i run my nail across the glass right where it meets the bezel i feel a 0.5 mm gap of sorts and it feels that i could pull the screen protector off the glass.. not sure if it is some sort of glass coating or if it indeed is a "screen protector". Funny thing is even the customer care folks at Garmin are not aware of it (though they confirmed that they encounter that gap between the glass and bezel as well.

Is there a way to : 1 - get a timer that start when I pause or stop my run activity (pressing the button top right as usual). This will help me to follow better the resting time between trackfield laps workout. 2 - disable the screen view that come out everytime I pause or stop a run activity. (The one with the statistics of the current activity). It’s quite annoying because even if go back to my primary activity screen gets difficult to follow the resting time between my workouts. Thanks
@HowToPM2 жыл бұрын
1. Well I never did it but I'm sure it's possible as I have it when I swim. 2. No it's not possible. The thing is that you may need to select a different type of activity. Try the swiming activity you will quickly understand. You must not stop the activity but create lap. When you create a lap, it create a resting time. In fact, it's probably a lap setting that you are looking for.

Just to close this loop, I realize now that I can select "Do Course" within the Hike activity and then have easy access to the course map and hiking data screens. My original problem was because some trail systems were not on the base maps, so I had to import a Course. I wanted to explore trails without a pre-planned route, so I didn't want to Do Course. My phone has no "search city" nor "use the map" option in "sunset/ sunrise" widget. Sad :( p/s: great video! thank you. I've used Fenix 6 for more than a year and a lot of stuff i didn't know.
