2:59 (for the guys who take notes) vocal tone 'cheat code' 1. record a rough draft of a song three different times each time with a different vocal tone 2. make sure each rough draft vocal's tone is very different from the other ones are 3. make each rough draft as a separate file file 4. compare and contrast the vocals

I wanna quote something KSHMR (EDM Producer for whoever doesn't know him) once said - " We all throw shit at the wall expecting them to stick, difference between us (the pros) and you is that we are experts at shit throwing". Point is, you're gonna fuck up a lot, don't go for the perfect take or the perfect bar, experiment and you'll be surprised what a beast you hide in there. Have fun making music cause that's what it's all about, peace! - JVMI

Just try putting notations on your note pad... like / or (a *CA*pital *LE*tter) which is to indicate where you put your leap and stuff.... Just create your own notations and stuff... it'll work out fine trust me And try breaking your lyrics down little by little into the 2kicks and 2snares... whatever(like a bar I mean... ya know)

I’ve had this issue too. I’ve learned to rap my lyrics out loud as I’m writing and not just in my head. Sometimes when you write words don’t go together. in your head that sound right but once you actually deliver then your tongue can’t move in the way to deliver the line the way you envisioned. I’m getting better but I sound dead on the track no emotion working on that now
@LeftFieldBeats8 жыл бұрын
Yo. I have trouble with saliva in my mouth when I'm rapping. When I'm freestyling it's fine, but when doing a final product, I tend to salivate a lot.
@TehManalo8 жыл бұрын
+EkkoProductions I can actually relate to this haha. I find that when I eat something before I rap I seem to salivate a lot, so I usually try to not have any snacks beforehand. Other than that I just try to not to think of it and just focus on delivering and pronouncing my lyrics! Good luck!

When I rap people say I sound like Eminem or I'm the next Slim Shady and I do take it as a compliment but at the same time, I don't want to sound that way because I want my own unique flow and voice sound. I just naturally sound that way, even when I talk and yes I am white and yes lived in a Trailer park and had a crazy life yada yada... so that's what holds me back is everyone comparing me to Eminem I want to be known as who i am not anyone else. Any advice?

Please get back to me Drew man I need help urgently bro

There called "time-words", a typical phrase to use while you're thinking of your next verse. I have the same problem, I say, "Yo man..." way too much. My only solution to helping this is to slow down, put small time gaps between your verses. Make sure to take small breath-brakes. I hope this helped! :)

What helped me was to just flow. Keep going dispute how weird or stupid it sounds just keep spittin'. Eventually you'll start to flow naturally and that is when your rhymes will start to come in. For me I started to just rap and my flow was a bit akward but with time it started to become more solid and I was able to think of rhymes and word play while doing it. It also helps to write songs which is totally voluntariy.
