To all aspiring rappers: I hope you continue to improve and learn from the ones who came before you. Don’t beat yourself down comparing yourself to the ones who have been doing it for 20+ years

Also, in number three, you can think about the Jamaican emcees and how they spit Willie things while they’re intro in the music and then they sort of jump in with the rappers or singers. It’s so fun to watch in the energy is contagious! Live shows help you absorb positive energy. Just picked the right ones boo

Nice! I feel lucky as I'm never chasing a different rapping era (as I don't listen to much hip hop). I write and produce my music with electric guitars which will hopefully be a unique sound, and also I have a unique accent when compared to most UK hip hop people who sound like they're from Birmingham or London (even when they're not from there). Feels natural for me to be myself and let my creative juices flow, both in lyric writing and music producing. I labour over every beat and its very gratifying watching things come together at last Stick at it fellow hip hop writers, and remember to be true to yourself with your creations! Be patient and don't give up

At 1:28 Is it by coincidence that you said AKA (rap in a flow) while showing South Africa's AKA with Sway?

I'm sure it was by design Tanya cause that "coincidence" is too exact 😂

Great channel, but I'll disagree you can't say JayZ is a "songfinder" and then use Kanye as an example of a "songwriter." Kanye is actually the MOST collaborative rapper probably ever. Jay is also not a producer, even though he has a hand in selecting most if not all of his beats.
@HowToRapOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Interesting comment thanks for watching! Kanye not only wrote and performed the choruses for many of his biggest hits (Stronger, Gold Digger, Power, etc.) but he additionally wrote performed iconic choruses for Jay-Z himself (Never Change, Guess Who’s Back, wrote the Lucifer chorus, etc.) No shade to either of them, they’re just different skill sets :)
