Interesting info, please give us a review on the fivics skadi limbs if you have tried them, on the fence between those and other top tier limbs

Steven, if you review Skadi limbs, could you compare curvatures of Fivics lims? I wonder if smoothness of Argon limbs ia partially due to a different profile

Same thing with Beiter plunger color where black is $15/USD cheaper than any other color via AS in the UK.

It's the same with Shibuya sights and arrow rests where some colours are more expensive which is due to much higher anodising costs for some different colours. Shibuya weren't doing some colours like purple for the last few years because it was cost prohibitive than say red and have only just added it back in again now.

I run both types of (toolless) spigarelli buttons and the price only 45 $ for microclick. And 80 $ securebutton 2. you get a small box with extra springs and Teflon tips and spare parts for both plungers. Bieter is good but its still not 2-3x improvement / price 160-180 $ USD , 255 AUSD . If you spend time building and tuning your arrows in detail a plunger has very little effect on the arrow. I really need to dial it to either supersoft or superhard (= not using a plunger at all ) to see a measurable effect on my scores.

I have 3 or 4 plungers. The most expensive is a shibuya. I don't see any advantage over the $30 ones.

The Shibuya DX is an excellent plunger at up to 4X less expensive than a Beiter plunger and what I recommend for a startup kit for learning Recurve or Barebow games. HOWEVER, the Shibuya is *NO WAY* smoother or more consistent over lots of time than a Beiter. This is one area of *competitive archery* where you just need to fork out the buck$ for a completely superior product.

Biggest advantage with the Beiter is not having to fiddle around with tiny hex keys in order to adjust it. Just use your fingers, no need to lock it down, it doesn't move.

Consistency and longevity is worth the extra money if you're a competitive archer.

Most people aren't good enough and don't know enough about setup to justify $150+ plungers imo. The return on investment just isn't there. If you don't know how to find the nodes on your shafts and why they're important and so on you're just wasting your time. In order for any advantage to be had you have to be an ULTRA consistent shooter. The slightest change in draw length or torque etc will completely make the plunger behave differently. It's the reason why so many people have problems tuning their plunger 🪠 ..but to each his/her own.

Why don’t compound archers use plungers?
@liamboyle9199 Жыл бұрын
Because with a release aid our arrows is not flexing left to right like a recurve

All the kids drinking Hoyt's cool aid and spending mum and dad's money won't have a problem spending the extra 50%. 😂

and that is the problem with the US right now. We want the internal business but we do not want to make a better product, so we create more rules to prevent competition. does not make me happy.

Quite often with specialty items you pay a lot for a name. For example: I play guitar. I have several cheap copies of the expensive north American ones. I finally splurged on a Gibson Les Paul. Biggest disappointment ever. Not worth the increased cost. Cheers!

Absolutely true and I've been in the guitar and pickup making industry since the 60s.
