It really is something amazing to experience - a real turning point in healing, a total paradigm shift in mentality, where everything is still how it is, but the underlying blackness of complete Hell on Earth is replaced with the softer reality that we are at home here with all the suffering and divine love as one whole ♡ take care, brave stranger ♡

This song actually almost made me cry. I'm currently watching a sunrise right now, and it truly does look beautiful. I've been going through a lot right now, and listening to this song while watching the sun rise made me think of how much I don't actually want to die, I just want to be happy. I want to see my first light.

felt on this one. i've been dealing with Some Things. and i listened to this and got hit with so much hope at once for something better that i had to lay down. hang onto that. we'll both get there someday. picture it. a morning of your own. in the quiet, before anyone else is awake, or perhaps with someone you care for. sitting at the kitchen table. watching the sun come up. people talk about healing in these big moments, in these giant steps and symbols. but sometimes it's in that quiet. one bright morning changes all things. you're going to be happy. you're going to have your first light.

One bright morning changes all things Soft and easy as your breathing You wake Your eyes open at first a thousand miles away But turning shoot a silver bullet point-blank range And I can scarce believe what I'm believing in Could this be how every day begins? The sky set to burst The gold and the rust The colour erupts You filling my cup The sun coming up Like I lived my whole life Before the first light Like I lived my whole life Before the first light One bright morning goes so easy Darkness always Finds you either way It creeps into the corners as the moment fades A voice your body jumps to calling out your name But after this I'm never gonna be the same And I am never going back again The sky set to burst The gold and the rust The colour erupts You filling my cup The sun coming up Like I lived my whole life Before the first light Like I lived my whole life Before the first light Like I lived my whole life Before the first light Like I lived my whole life Before the first light Like I lived my whole life Before the first light

From de selby part 1 to first light this whole album was an spiritual experience. Hozier really took us to a journey through the 9 circles. I danced, I cried, I laughed, I had goosebumps. He really is a genius, masterpiece after masterpiece. Can't wait to see him in December, I know is going to change my life
@eleneglad_ Жыл бұрын
It really was like a recreation of the book in the sense that we became 'Dante' and Hozier became our 'Virgil' our spirit guide taking us through the journey of all the circles of Hell and here to First Light which is our Ascend from Hell. This man is an artist through and through. It's mindblowing what he was capable of doing with this album. He painted the imagery so well and captured all those feelings so well that even if we weren't listening and thinking about the bigger picture we could still vividly experience the emotion that he captured in his work.

Overall this albums trumped for me. After reading more into Hozier's meaning behind it, I found that I could have been so spiritually involved because its meaning was so relevant to the relation of my most recent years of going through darkness and finding myself closer to "the light" in the end of such perpetual struggle. It was spiritual and when I listened to it, I had a spiritual reaction.

I’m giggling and smiling with my mouth agape in wonderment and awe. This is phenomenal, the peak of music. It’s an entire experience, it’s a journey to somewhere spectacular. Words don’t do it justice. It’s closure, it’s peace, it’s enlightenment, it’s breaking free from the shackles of this earth and ascending above it all. I’d go as far as saying it’s the best closing song of any album EVER, thematically. It’s just epic.
