Strongly recommend his live performance called "Movement - Live at the Current". Possibly the best live performance I've ever seen. It isn't in front of an audience or anything but my god, it sounds beautiful

Long time hozier fan, saw him for the 1st time live last week and OH FUCK! Never been so moved by a performance and ive been to so many live gigs. You're right, movement was incredible francesca not even a favourite of mine but that was incredibly good, also would that I was just amazing. The performance of de selby part 2 was also insane but to be honest the whole thing was perfection, i once saw the pixes and it was my favourite gig... but hozier just smashed that to a million peices

I saw him live during his last tour and he sounds phenomenal🤧 and he also connects with his audience a lot. And yes, he's very influenced by soul, gospel, etc. He's also named Nina Simone as an influence. Thanks for the reaction as always❤️

This is the song that got me completely hooked on Hozier. I've seen him a few times in concert and it's a magnificent experience. Try Shrike, or Like Real People Do. Or his wonderful collaboration with the great Mavis Staples, Nina Cried Power. Love it.

This album is absolutely astonishing. His second album is equally as amazing and he's clearly an activist with super intentional lyrics. I think you'd LOVE Nina Cried Power but you really can't go wrong with any of his songs. Cherry Wine is a powerful song about domestic violence that I find very moving.

I feel like if someone clicks on a video by a channel called thatsinger and has a problem with the amount of singing, it's probably a 'them' problem. I think it's really endearing and also what music is all about when you hear a melody or cool vocal choice and can't help but try it yourself ❤❤

Just found this channel, I love your voice! And one of my favorite things about Hozier is he takes a lot of influence from gospel and blues but he doesn't hide it if that makes sense. Like he credits black artists and the roots of those genres. Nina Cried Power is one of my favorites from him

I think Gaelic singing has a lot in common with Gospel.

Love Hozier, and I loved your take on his music. His music is... basically hymns or soul music for the LGBT community. Your voice is dazzling too, by the way. Loved the vid!

I've been praying you would react to this ever since you Dermot kennedy (Or as you called him Der-mont 😂) young & free. There is some serious talent in Ireland, they all pretty much started busking on the streets in Dublin. I remember seeing Dermot playing on Grafton Street when he was about 20. Check out Cian Ducrot ( Pronounced "key-in Ducrot"😅), All for you. Great song if you like Hozier & Dermont. Love what you do brother wishing you all the success, appreciate you supporting irish artist's.

If you’re into the gospel sound listen to Nina Cried Power ft. Mavis Staples. It’s about activism and revolution strongly inspired by Irelands tumultuous history but it greatly parallels Americas history of oppression. The oficial video features a lot of activists for different causes as they listen to the song. Mavis herself is living history (if you didn’t already know, Look her up!)
