Imagine taking a call on a printer while it is printing. I'm guessing HP didn't have next-level noise cancellation to remove the printer sound. Great video! Look forward to more.

It does matter as HP has single-handedly destroyed their reputation as the best printers on the market. From reducing the quality of their products as the realized they were not selling enough when they were bulletproof, self destructing inkjet printers when the ink sponges might be full (Pro 8600 line) and the obnoxious ink subscriptions. They deserve the ridicule and their dumb ideas have infected the entire industry.

100% I have a Ewaste Rescued 2012ish HP Pavillion All in One PC. The design decisions of this desktop are weird. My plans for it are to upgrade some internals (more ram and duel SSD's, convert it to run some Linux distro, and potentially retrofit external display support (since for whatever reason, this one in particular is missing any external display ports)

Here's my HP printer story... I buy a new HP printer every 6 or 7 years, always a middle level printer costing about 200 dollars...And for the next 6 or 7 years I VERY occasionally have to buy a new ink or toner cartridge, and my printer dutifully sits on a shelf printing a few documents a week. This pattern has been playing itself out since about 1996 and I haven't had a dud, needed a repair or had a troublesome HP printer yet. I believe other people when they say they have endless problems with drying out ink etc but somehow I've not experienced it. I do find the special Windows HP printing port that the setup programs configure to be unreliable. I recommend statically giving your printer an IP address and then setting up a TCP/IP port in printer properties with that address manually entered. An annoying process that isn't super intuitive for non-IT people but helps with reliability of communications.

To be fair, HP still makes stupid decisions. My keyboard at work has a "print" key directly above backspace. I'm currently waiting for a better keyboard to arrive in the post.

@@SultanOfAwesome Just print, with a picture of a printer on it. Print Screen is Fn+F9 (a Clear key is in its normal position) - it's otherwise a full-size (low profile) keyboard.

That sounds and operates like every generic Chinese bluetooth speaker I’ve ever seen. They did literally glue a cheap BT speaker to a printer. The only connection to the rest of the printer is going to be a 5VDC. That’s it.

In my many years of IT support I did come across a particularly strange one concerning a HP P2014 Laser printer. The issue was unless it had a full tray of paper in it, it would not print, The printer was out of warranty, so it was up to me to figure it out. I came across one article (written in German, I am in the US) that I Google translated and I couldn't believe what I was reading. It said to remove the board, stick it into a preheated oven at 400 degrees for exactly 8 minutes. At this point I had nothing to lose. So I took it home and did it and brought the board back to work and reinstalled it. Danged if it didn't work correctly. The Deputy City Attorney was very pleased that his printer was working correctly and pressed me to what I did to fix it. He refused to believe me. Whatever, it is fixed and it works. The Deputy Assistant Attorney called my boss and then I had my boss not believing me. What was my source? I couldn't believe them getting out shape on how it was fixed. So, I produced the article and slid it across to my boss. What the hell is this? Why Boss, it's a tech article in German, don't you speak or read any foreign languages? They finally dropped it when I produced the Google translation. To this day I have no clue why it was so important to know how, and when told, to not believe it. Whatever!
