I bought my x360 two days ago based on your reviews and I have been beyond pleased. In the past, I have been reluctant to make the change to a Chromebook, but after just two days with this device, I know this will be my go to. I went back and forth between this device and the Dell 14 Chromebook that you also reviewed. This device has been able to handle everything I have thrown at it and never slowed down. As a teacher, it is not uncommon for me to be running 10+ tabs, videos, and Google Classroom and the x360 never flinched. Thank you for doing these reviews and being honest about your thoughts.

Docs has already replaced Word for me. Not just that it's free, but I like how I can work on it from any computer and share the docs easily. I know Word added some cloud features, but I never got into them.

I just bought mine and brought it home this past Friday. I waited and waited for the price to come down to be in line with what I was willing to pay. I couldn't believe how great the keyboard is as well as the touchpad. And I absolutely needed to have a back lit keyboard as well as the 2 in 1 feature. I turned in my very old Acer R11 that frankly performed according to the price I paid for it! I only wish it had a stylus, but I'm okay with using my standard stylus on the touchscreen to scroll whenever I have it in tent mode. And I have an HP Envy printer and was dumbfounded at how quickly it connected to the Chromebook! I am so glad I kept it on my "list" at Best Buy so when it dropped in price a week before the President's Day weekend, I jumped on it! Your review is spot on and I can say I can give it five out of five stars! This should be my last Chromebook, especially since I'm 70ish.

I could never justify buying the Pixel Slate either, especially with the cost of either keyboard (the hard one is the more sensible choice but the way it fits looks too much like a bodge). It's great to have the choices though and some people will not mind paying the extra money.

I upgraded from a Surface Go to this Chromebook, and love it, only nit-pick (and took a lot of work to find) Is not HP's fault, but when editing documents I keep instinctually reach for the delete key, which on chromebook's is a lock button, and I keep hitting caps lock (which is the search button). I will eventually get used to it, but I wonder why those to keys are their? Why reengineer the wheel? Just place the search button by Ctrl and alt, and gimme back my delete key pls. Or give me better typing skills (lol). Otherwise, love the computer, love the company, HP in my experience, has supported their products extremely well (example: if you have an hp msdos computer, you can still download drivers). They stand by their products, and generally have competent IT staff (unlike Apple, and Amazon). As always chrome/Android crushes Mac/iOS.

Purchased this almost two weeks ago at Best Buy. I waited until it went on sale and I'm glad I did. I have been a Mac user since the 90's and have used Windows at work as well. I thought about buying a new MacBook Air but could not justify the high price. This is a solidly built laptop that I plan to use for daily web browsing, email and spreadsheets. I will continue to use my desktop Mac for audio editing and other intensive tasks. The laptop is fast, has a great keyboard and track pad. I would recommend...

I've commented before on how great I think the HP X360 Chromebook is, and after 6 months it still is excellent. Recently, however, I bought an Asus C302CA (open box for $249) because it was a bargain. I returned the Asus almost immediately because (1) it was slightly slower than the HP and (2) the speakers were on the sides and the volume was simply not loud enough. The HP X360 remains the top device, in my opinion.

I just got one of these six days ago and love it. I watched your review prior to my purchase. It is spot on. The keyboard is a true pleasure. I have an old HP 14 Chromebook and it too has a comfortable keyboard. The aluminum makes this keyboard much sturdier than my old HP. The sound on this is a big improvement over my old HP. The volume range is much better. I like the top-facing speaker. I was leaning toward the Pixel Go but I didn't like the idea of having to get a dongle. I'm getting 13 hours on a charge. The screen provides a beautiful, crisp, color view. The 8 gigs of RAM is a big improvement over the 2 on my HP and the 4 on my Toshiba 2 Chromebook. I paid $599 at Best Buy. My old HP has not received an update in ages and it was behaving erratically. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic with more people working from home and students needing computers at home, there is a shortage of good Chromebooks and special sales are nonexistent. I think it is worth the full price. I use it heavily each day and enjoy every minute of it. Thanks for all of your reviews. They are interesting and informative.

About time this got reviewed! It has not gotten much love at all and I absolutely love this device! Sturdy, fast, bright, great battery life. I bought some cheap stylus/pen combo from Amazon that works just fine. The touchscreen is great. The track pad is great. The keyboard is, as described, one of the best I've ever used. I did get mine at the lowest offered price so far which only makes it that much better, but I would have paid more.

Just purchased this, and I thank you so much for your review and helping me take the plunge. Best Buy had it for a great price and through the sale, some reward coupons, some store credit I had and the student deals combined I got it for less than 200 dollars. I didn’t need a pen because I already had a Surface, and I just say after a few days of putting this through it’s paces, I am in love. Definitely one of my favorite purchases that I ever made. Thanks to Chrome Remote Desktop, I am able to now leave my huge i7 laptop with dedicated graphics at home and access all of its powerful functions like Adobe Premiere from work with this more reasonably sized little guy. It has just enough power for a Chromebook to feel like it isn’t struggling at all no matter what you throw at it. Thanks again for the detailed review unlike any other I found online. Spot on review. Thanks very much for this great, comprehensive run down. I've been on the lookout for a great Chromebook that would be competent with both Linux apps and Android Apps. Based on your recommendation, I got my x360 14" i3 with 8GB RAM + 64GB storage open box from Best Buy for $355+tax. Incredible deal on a really well-built, well-rounded Chromebook. I was concerned based on some of the critical reviews that the screen would be "too dim." I suppose if you constantly use it in conditions with exceptionally bright ambient light, or simply enjoy retina-searing levels of brightness, then yes, it might be too dim. Might be. I've only been using this for a couple days. But based on what I've seen so far, HP really hit the ball out of the park with this device.

I purchased this model from my local Best Buy as an upgrade to my Acer 15 touchscreen. My main reason for the upgrade was in hopes of a brighter screen than the 200 nits Acer 15. Sadly, once home, and after comparing the screen to my current model, the screen was just too dim for a $599 Chromebook. After reading more reviews, and looking at the HP Datasheet on it, it's only rated at 220 nits across all configurations. While this is fine for most, it's not much of a upgrade to what I already have. I'll be waiting for the reviews on the Asus Flip C434!

I picked up this HP x360 (2 in 1) from Best Buy for 450.00 a couple of weeks ago. Very nice machine. Very quick. The keyboard is great. Nice that it is back lit. The trackpad is nice and smooth. Very close to the Pixel 2015 Chromebook that I have. The white cover and blue body is an attractive combination. The speakers are Ok. The fan is noticeable when it kicks in, but at least it does it's job to keep the processor cool. Overall, this is a very nice machine. Definitely a great buy at 450.00. I was on the fence while trying it out at Best Buy. What made me pull the trigger was comparing it to the Pixelbook that was next to it. In my opinion, this HP at 450.00, was a better buy than the Pixelbook. The webcam of course is not great, which is a shame. Overall, I love it and use it everyday. I'm very happy that I bought it.

@@juliosdiy3206 Pretty much unfortunately. Even a Chromebook needs a decent processor and 8 GB Ram to run smoothly and quickly. But with those better specs it is really a pleasure to use for all things "internet". The Google suite of apps like spreadsheets and word processor are fabulous. I use those nearly everyday.

Finally, we get a review for this device. Finally, I can rest assured that my purchase was a good one. Which is good because I bought this device over a month ago. The other stand-out thing that maybe wasn't as glorified in this video is that it has 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and some others in this same vein of Chromebooks do not...*cough*Dell*cough* For day to day it's certainly less noticeable, but when you start pushing it with crouton, you'll notice the ram just isn't there. Especially if you're also running play store apps, which consumes approximately half a gig of ram, and that's a lot when you only have 4, to begin with. Meanwhile, the 8gb of ram on this device, paired with the beastly, albeit lower voltage i3, is a match made in heaven. I think it's also fair to point out that while the machined hole speaker grill is aesthetically pleasing and uniform, it isn't as though its placement provides a louder sound experience. That said, I almost wish they had just gone with downward firing, angled speakers, or one that comes up from underneath the keys. I say this because over time bits of particles, like food and dust, can get wedged inside the holes, and then you completely lose that nice aesthetic. Thanks for another great review, Robby!

Picked this up for $449 at best buy on 5/19. Very happy with my purchase. Solid build, not as premium as the all aluminum devices but very well built. Performance is great and I am not put off by the fan. If you were fine with the fan in your older windows laptops this is substantially less fan to deal with. I feel like the i3 plus 8gb of ram cant be beat for a future proofed laptop that will get the job done for many years at a great price.

My only gripe was it lacked pen support. I tried 3 different active pens, even connecting via Bluetooth and it didn't take... So I returned it. Stayed with the X2. Tha checked every box I needed outside of backlit keyboard

Which one exactly is this? I have the x360 14 with the champaign gold keyboard and it seems to be a different device than this. What's weird is that mine is an i5 chipset? Thought they only used the i3 for this device. Plus, only gripe..... the keyboard washes out in light. The gold color is hard to see the keys in the right lighting.

I think it is based on the latest reports that the C434 intro price is 599 for the m3. I am picking up the x360 today on an open box discount for $500.00. Best deal out there imo.

I would wait for the Asus. I got one of these HP ones, but I’ll be returning it. It has a nice screen for normal tasks, but it’s horribly dim for watching shows and movies. I just can’t get past that aspect. Also, although it’s not the heaviest computer, it’s not super lightweight either. I’d get something more portable for your needs.

I went to Best Buy to check it out and I did not like it at all! I know the dell has 4gb less than the hp x360 but the quality and feel of the Dell is so much better at the same price. The hp x360 has great specs but it feels like a $300 chromebook imo...

Great review. I've got an HP X2 Chromebook which is a better choice for me with the 3:2 display as I like to use it as a tablet but if I was lookong for a 16:9 device this would be the one. HP are producing some great devices at the moment.

Hi, Robby! I left you a couple of messages in other videos, related to this very model of Chromebook. Well, actually, the one 2020. I've just received an HP Chromebook x360 14, just brought to me from the States, and I'm one of these who want the full performance and I have to confess I got deceived about the HP Pen I bought separately doesn't work with this Chromebook. Does it mean I won't handwrite on this device unless I use my fingers? Isn't there any other option? Regards from Argentina and sorry for leaving four messages in a weekend.

@@cameosisj6007 5.5 years and then I suppose you install Linux or something (if you can). So as a hand me down to friends, relatives and especially children it is not going to be as a Chomebook. I would not be concerned about this except that my laptops, the ones I use, are both around 5 or more years old and they still work well with Windows 10.

6:30 I’ve found it’s common to partner with speaker companies, while speakers have always been terrible. I think they’ve accepted that speaker tech just takes up too much space, weight and cost and it’s easier to just slap the branding on there.

Hi there, l bought this chromebook. Can you please tell me the point of the external storage ,when you can not transfer apps over to it. L can do this on my Android tablet. -this tablet costs 0ver 750 pounds in sweden and you can not use extra storage. Rediculous.Or do you know how this can be done. Thanks

I just got mine for Christmas and last night I was watching Netflix on it and it completely froze and keeps making a circular noice that was at like 11:00 pm I woke up that morning and I still was making the noice. I don’t know what’s wrong with it.!?
