T1300 doesn't scan ???

No - the T1300 was a printer only and the T2300 was the printer/scanner. Today the T2300 has been replaced with the T2600mfp

Way too out of focus to be useful.

Agreed that it is out of focus in parts - but at least, while not being perfect, most people have gleaned some very helpful bits from it - especially as our former MD (RIP - he did these videos while being terminally ill with cancer to help pass on his knowledge) is talking you through it and at least the sound quality is still fine :)
