I tried all this already it didn't work. Just keeps saying it can't find my internet connection. I only have a hotspot no wifi. If anyone could help me get it going with the hotspot, if that's possible, I'd appreciate it. I can only connect it with the wifi direct but can't scan anything cuz at that point it keeps saying it can't find my internet connection😡

I hope at least one person at HP with some gray matter in his/her cranium and a little authority reads through these comments and recognizes how much *work* needs to be done in the communication department at that company in the process of dealing with their customers. For real though. This damn printer has absolutely no damn instructions and says “3 eAsY steps” just to piss you off even more. You download the app, connect to it, and follow the app instructions which is does not have. Its a stupid design on how to use cause all I want to do is just print a damn piece of paper.

Yep me too. So so so disappointed with this printer. Firstly the plug lead usb. Was Not in the box. Back to shop. They even charged me for plug lead !! Printer still no printing !!!! Took it to another shop for help. Charged 20 euro. Still not printing. Wits end !!!! Days wasted trying to correct printer. Still no joy !!!!! Never again ! With HP

This is it right here. On the app, you must have an account with HP smart or just click to create an account,after that try the proceed again, you will successfully print, scan etc with no connection pop

This is a nightmare. This printer was working fine. I changed my internet provider, I'm trying to connect it to the new wifi and absolutely no luck because it shows the device on my HP account. It shows not connected and then 0 steps on how to reconnect it! For such a large company they couldn't provide basic instructions for this.

I have connected my printer. And I am able to scan, thankfully. But I can not print!! If I connect to the printer WiFi instead of my own, the print button is grayed out. It won't let me do anything. Why cant a company Like HP have a product that you can install. There is no problem connecting it to cable. WIFI absolutely hopeless - HP should have in there software an option where you configure IP. Something simple like DHCP and Network type 2.4 or 5G. Network Name and Wifi password. That really is the way it should be done and then we would not need these comments SHAME ON HP

This is the worst printer ever. I dont even think its a printer so much as a scam to FORCE people to let HP track how much you print. HP claims signing up for instant ink is "optional' its not. Printer literally will not work unless you are signed up, it treats it like an "error" and will refuse to work until you do so, and then after you print so many copies it charges you 10 cents a page. I can do that at the library. I DO NOT want it wireless, i LIKE it plugged in and it constantly NAGS me to connect to a wi fi connection its blinks and there is a exclamation point, acts like not being connected to wi-fi is a mortal sin. I DO NOT want "instant ink", There is an Office Max across the street. I want a home printer that works reliably MY WAY without my having to do deep research every time i try to use it and HARD selling me services i do not need or want. Got one of those? *it prints its own instructions repeatedly, and that's about it.

I love my HP but it hates me. It continually goes off line and doesn't recognize my internet, and says there is no printer connected. It mocks me. Today I had to set it up from the beginning like it's a brand new printer. I have lived in the same place and the printer has been in the same spot in my house for a year and a half. Same computer, same internet, same passwords, same everything! No changes have happened. I haven't printed in a couple of months so maybe it's getting back at me for ignoring it??
