After some research and watching reviews, if the two laptops are retailing at the same price, you should go for the 1030 g3 because it has more features and is x360

Can you use the thunderbolt port for charging instead of the dedicated charging port ( round hole )? I'm wondering if I can use my USB C PD powerbank for backup power in case of power interruption or remote area use.

@tdkproskyde If the thunderbolt 3 is a full-featured port in the specs, in theory it should be able to provide power to the laptop given the compatible specs for the power bank and laptop requirements. In my future use case scenario, I would like to pair it with the Baseus 100w usb c cable and romoss PMT60 60000MaH powerbank with a single usb c max output of 100w. IMO it's the best deal since it has a LifePO4 cells which last for 5-10 years with proper use (DOD 20% min & 80% max charge).
