No, you don't need to connect a power adapter to the video card because this video card is low profile, if it was full profile then you would need to connect a power adapter.

Only if you install a better low profile GPU. GTA and Sniper Elite should run, but Read Dead Redemption is pushing it on a GT 1030

It greatly depends on how pretty you want it to be with a decent framerate. I run games that supposedly shouldn't be able to run on that card at 900p low settings (Forza Horizon 5 and Diablo IV as well as a few others) and they run at a pretty acceptable framerate. Are they pretty graphically? Not really.

I am, and the GT 1030 works well. I disconnected the DVD drive since I don't really do much with the computer that I need it for, and it saved me some wattage.

The PCIe slot powered up the GPU to 75W. It's more than enough for that little GPU. The GT 1030 has a TDP of 30W ! In my case I have a RTX A2000 in the same form factor PC (HP Elitedesk 800 G4). My GPU drains only 70W with PCIe slot and I have a equivalent of an RTX 3050 with 6Gb of VRAM with a Core i5 8500 and 32Gb of RAM, It's my main PC for gaming and it runs well on gaming :D

GTX1050ti lp or GTX1650 lp is best cost for performance if you can get used card. Another alternative is RX6400; this is relatively new so it will only run @PCIe gen 3 speed (the card is gen4 but motherboard gen3). Just make sure get the lp version and with 240w PSU I think these are our only option..maybe?

The motherboard is compatible but it physically won't fit and the power supply is not powerfull enough for an rx580 which requires an 8 pin connector You can cut holes in the case and add a second power supply, but just get a different case at that point

Yes, I believe all of these come with Intel CPUs with their own graphics processors. If you're unsure, just google whether the CPU has its own graphics on the model you're getting
