Thank you High Tech Point! Adding this just in case it helps anyone else. You *can*select things with your touch-pad without "clicking/pressing" it, simply by gently touching your touch-pad you can make a selection. It does appear that you must press to select a range of words, highlight or to drag and move... etc. I am changing from Mac to PC so kinda new to me... maybe it is a matter of editing Touch Gestures in settings... to tailor to your needs.

Hiya! I just purchased myself an Envy 15 AE121ND and I've noticed that it makes a slight ticking sound as soon as the sounds comes on, any kind. I also believe my speaker isn't working to its full potential. Have you experienced any of this while testing yours? Aside from the fact that yours is touch screen and works with SATA instead of SSD they're pretty similar, hence my question. Thanks in advance!

Hi Saskia, try disabling all power saving option set it to performace and see if that resolves the problem. If not it sounds like something is wrong with the notebook it shouldnt be doing that. Let me know thanks.

Hi. I bought the same laptop but mine has Core i7 5500U. When I installed the GTAV and after only 7-10 min of playing it started to lag a lot and FPS were about 15-20, I think this is because of overheating. Did you have the same problem? I am very disappointed because of that, because it has GTX 950 and it can not cool it effectively?

I have the same laptop. Tbh CPU intensive games such as GTA V or the Witcher 3 do not run well on it. The processor is only a dual core, so it's not that great at rendering a lot of objects very quickly, as it needs to in games like the GTA V. Plus U variant CPU's run on a lower voltage and therefore technically have lower performance because they're powersaving.

did you try at med settings, also make sure , you set it to performance at the power options. and also making sure the GTX950 is in use.

Don't know about GTA 5 (never run it since last time), but I have tried to play the Witcher 3 with cooling pad and open window and it works well at med and high settings. So I still think that the problem is overheating but I am fine with that now.

+Misclickable The screen is a little glossy, my preference is mat finish but than you have the touch screen than you need a glossy finish. Mainly all laptops will shake with minor movement I tried Asus, Acer still little movements when placed on the lap unless its a tablet it will move when its shaken a bit. One thing I don't like is the HHD you would need to put an SSD because its just slow without it. other than that the temps are good, and touch screen is very responsive. Whats your budget and what do you plan on doing I can recommend other notebooks for you as well

Nvidia GTX950M 4 GB 2.5 GHz i7 6500U dual core - Turbo up to 3.1 GHz 1 TB HDD + 128 GB SSD 16 GB DDR3L SDRAM 2.36 kg I have a desktop with very good specs that I can use to do anything I want, but I just want a laptop that is fast, can play games like maybe garry's mod, cs:go on low or medium settings. It *must* have an SSD. Not sure on whether I should get 13" or 15". Its battery should last more than 5-6 hours browsing the web, watching videos, etc. It should be lightweight (No more than 2.3 - 2.5 kg). It shoud look at least a bit elegant (MSI, I'm looking at you). I prefer metal cases. I'm kind of stuck between ASUS UX303UB (No touchscreen, 13", very glossy screen (A reviewer said that you can use it as a mirror :P), Nvidia GT940M, 2.5 GHz (Not really sure) i7 6500U. I just ordered the i7-6700HQ with discrete graphic. HP web site hard to understand when building. If you want SSD M.2 you have to get the lower processor i7-6500U with graphics and memory external.

I really enjoy this review of this laptop. Is it possible I you could review the HP M6p-113dx. I'd like to know your input about it, once you get a chance to review the laptop. The computer has an AMD Fx processor, 6 gigs o ram, and a 1 terabyte hard drive. It even has Windows 10 pre-installed, and is 5 pounds. Thank you very much, and I can't wait to hear your feedback on this awesome recommendation. Before I end this comment, the weight of the laptop is 5 pounds, and has a thickness of 0.93 inches. This laptop does not include a Dvd/CD drive from what I researched. I you could get your hands on this computer, and do a review o it, that would be awesome. I'm considering in getting the HP M6p-113dx after I read ll 499 reviews on Best Buy's website. Once again, thank you for creating laptop reviews. So, someone like me, whose looking for a good HP laptop in 2016, will find the perfect laptop that will satisfy me at the end of the day.

+Dominic Delacerda First of all Thanks so much for such a great comment, looking at the HP M6P-113DX , I can see that it has an Integrated Graphics, so if you are going to be watching a movies or surfing the web KZbin etc than its fine but anything more it is not really going to be handling things that well even though it has the AMD FX-8800P processor. +High Tech Point Do you think the AMD Fx processor can handle any audio editing programs, such as Audacity, Wavepad, and FL Studio. I'm not much o a gamer. I'll be using the laptop for mostly recording, and edition my radio podcasts. I'll even use the computer for net flics, KZbin, and Spotify. By the way, you're very welcome buddy. +Dominic Delacerda IT should be able to run Audio editing software, but if you are going to be connecting Midi Controllers than you might run into some latency issues. But it should have no problem running any sound editing programs though.

Lags! Hello, just picked up this laptop good enough for video editing as per specs and sales rep. I'm new to video editing but worked on small project (12 minutes video) using included cyberlink PowerDirector thanks to you-tubers help and burned onto dvd. While playing dvd, i notice there is some lag in the video. It is minor but still noticeable and bothersome. Anyone know why, have any ideas or tips?

Great review. But I can NOT confirm that this is a great laptop. Bought a slightly different model in january (no touchscreen but 3840x2160pixel display and it got an already built-in SSD). I have nothing but troubles since then. Basically it's super laggy in any graphical applications. So it's barely possible to work or game with this thing. I tried to optimize the system for at least one month - no improvement. The HP-techsupport was "helping" me for about 3 weeks analysing the problem - no solution. I am currently trying to sell the laptop privatly because HP refuses to take it back... no words to discribe my frustration.

+Vinamra Agnihotri The GTX950M is a great card but you would need to make adjustment to the game to get that good frame rate, at high setting in Gta5 you will get under 30 FPS. Hope that helped I would look for a GTX960 or up if you are going to be playing games a more enjoyable experience without the need to mess with the settings in every game.

Hi Scott, you can but when it comes to the rendering portion or doing live preview you might face some issues, definitely you need to upgrade the SSD or buy the one with the SSD. and more RAM if you are using premiere pro. Thanks for watching

I just gothis My sis also got two of the I5's and my machine is being returned.1 Sound is Muffled ,like your ears are clogged out of the water!2 the keyboard fonts are poor with t heled back light hat is only ON or off. and when they are lit the period and 30% of the other keys so bad to see.3 the screen when starting up you see th leds all on th bottom and on windows start4 est time is 8 hours ahead of myest time is it the gMT lol. anyone wanting to do 4K editing Magix 2016 works no stutter, but Powerdirector 14 is a vid aud issue5 a led lite always stays on and flashesPersonally I P A S S to much a headache the screen only tilts back someMy HDD drive is nice and quiete.
