These instructions and the kit they have for sale is awesome, I thought I was going to have to get a new computer and I replaced the screen myself in 15 minutes. a+++++! Also it is not that difficult and they give you all the tools with the kit which was great (I wouldn't have had these around)

Hello i just have received my screen because the original was a crap i hate matte screens and this originally has a (17.3") HD+ BrightView LED-backlit (1600 x 900) This is worst screen i have ever seen and of course blacks and contrast ufff even worst. I just decided to change and upgrade to FULL HD and glossy screen and is the best thing i ever made. Thanks to your tutorial was all this made possible. My laptop is HP ENVY 17-j067ez. +getLocation: Hello my friend. In fact im just using this screen to write you right now. If you have one HP ENVY 17-j067ez. Of course you can do your upgrade without change any cable. (I know that all HP ENVY 17...etc is available to upgrade but better if you write to them they have a good support) And on the other side i did not have any problems with driver. Only when i connect this screen takes time to recognize and download this driver. And everything goes fine till now. +Tavo K thanks again! :) I model is ENVY 17-J010SE but it looks exactly same as model in this video and they have screens with full hd for my model. One more question, did you order screen with matte finish or glossy? I'm thinking to order matte because glossy screen is annoying when using in bright room.

+getLocation Correct my friend. I order my screen glossy because i was tired of faded colors and black-grays. Now im very happy because i use a lot of multimedia, and with that screen pfffff. And answering your question in that page have a lot of models. Did you check your model? (I came from a horrible matte screen 1600X900)

Thank you for this awesome tutorial, but I have a question... In the tutorial the screen you removed did not appear to be damaged, however mine is very cracked... Is it dangerous to remove the cracked screen? What safety precautions should I take?

Thanks for the great video.I have a question.I have the same laptop and need to replace the screen due to a line of stuck pixels.The resolution of this LCD is 1600x900.Would it be possible to replace it with a LCD that has a resolution of 1920x1080 ? Do you have any in stock ?

Can I replace my non-touch screen with a touchscreen version? You said there is an extra thing to connect in the touch version. Does the non-touch version have the plug to connect this extra part? P.D. my laptop is an envy 17 j150la. Thank you!

I have a dead ant under my laptop screen. It is a Hp Evny 15-3041. Would following your procedure make it possible to remove the ant? I am not wanting to replace the screen but to just get the dead ant out.

This is basically the same procedure as the touchscreen. The difference is you need to disconnect one extra thing when you pull off the glass screen. just be careful and cautious
