My HP Envy x360 laptop ran out of power and shut off while I was working on a document. When I plugged it in, the charge light did not come on and the laptop appeared dead even when I tried different electrical outlets and a backup charge cord. I could not turn on the laptop. However, this video gave me the idea of holding the power button down for 15 - 30 seconds, which did succeed in having the charge light come on while the laptop was plugged in. After a few moments, I pressed the power button again and now I am back in business. Thank you for your video.

This is great. Tried lots of tutorials as the white light of my hp laptop is persistent. Think the battery was drained and just need to charge further. So far... The white is now not showing and no more blinks. To others... It's case to case basis

Nice worked to fix my HP laptop which wasnt charging. No idea why it stopped charging, but it just seemed to be stuck on 23% and wouldnt say how long it would take to fully charge. HP Support Assistant Battery Check even said the battery was normal and didnt seem to detect any issues. Did this and now finally gone above 23% and giving time to full charge!

This fixed my friend's HP Probook 445 G7. It started charging after it booted to Windows 10. Of all the testing, replacing the ac adapter and battery. HP Assistant said the battery was bad despite being brand new. The battery fell to 15% and said to replace it. Bull... I knew it was a software issue after running numerous dianostics and all pass. HP was less than helpful showing how to hard reboot the battery. Thanks.
