In this video, at the 5:20 spot, you fly thru something that you do not explain or show on your phone. You click a bunch of stuff on your phone, and it looks like you are turning some stuff off or clicking 2 toggle switches, turning SOMETHING off... but there is no way to tell WHAT you're turning off. So I'm stuck not knowing what you did and therefore how to get my printer connected to WiFi. And then at 5:40 you say connect "this" via WiFi network... what is 'this'? The cell phone? The printer? Both? It seems like you removed the cell from wifi at that 5:20 step.

I switched off the mobile network just to use only the WIFI network my phone was connected to. There are so many ways to connect this printer to a Wireless network, you need to make sure your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network that you want to connect the printer to 2, Download the HP Smart app on your phone from the Google Play Store. 3 Open the HP Smart then select the plus icon to start to search for available printers 4. Once the printer is found tap on the printer to key in the wireless network password and follow the screen instructions to complete the step-up.

This did not help at all. I downloaded the HP Smart app and my printer is still not listed. I have the same printer that is in this video and nothing here has helped. All I want to do is connect my printer to my new network. I'm very frustrated that nobody, not even HP can help me.

Skip to 4:24 for the Wireless Network Setup! Correction: Skip to 4:45 for the Wireless Network Setup! Jeez!! Useless garbage. I need to *CHANGE* my wifi to a new provider. (I've had the printer for years. And it works fine, connected to the *OLD* wifi Network.) The UI is horribly lacking ON THE PRINTER. I need to make the Printer connect to the NEW Wifi! A couple of hours later and a lot of useless HP documentation and google searches later, nothing. The Printer showed me a place for 'Wifi Protected Setup' - which only works if YOUR ROUTER Supports it. My NEW WIFI Service and their Router DOES NOT! So, how the heck do I change the wifi SSID and password information in the Printer? HP documentation pretty much *Starts* Assuming you have the Printer connected to the Wifi. 208 pages are Hewlett Shit and Packard shit! But no informaiton on how to change the wifi network for your existing pritner which was working fine connected to the Old Internet Service provider's router (which btw, did support Wifi-protected setup). Get it? How do I CHANGE WIFI Network on this Stupid Crap of a Printer? (It just keeps printing pages with information status even when I don't ask for it. Just keep bilking me for money by printing .) When it should just show me on the freaking screen what is really a very simple thing. It should be simple. But HP has royally messed up here. Ok, one more time - HOW DO I CHANGE THE Wifi information on the Printer? (The Mobile App is crap. It can't do shit until the Printer IS ALREADY CONNECTED TO THE SAME NETWORK!)

Use Right arrow button to navigate through the menus and Go to network setting and select network default setting ,or factory default setting , so you can start afresh to select the new WIFI network information. You can also try to press WIFI button and cancel button together for 5 seconds to put the printer in a wireless mode then you can start afresh to set up your new WIFI network information hope this helps.

I came back form a trip and found that my printer is no longer connecte to internet. I tried to do what you say with my iPhone but there is no + sign when I log into HP Smart on my device. How do I get this + sign. Also I cannot connect to my MAC desktop computer. It seems that the printer does not recognize the internet address that I am logged into with my computer. Same for the iPhone. How can I verify that the printer is connected to the same internet address. Thank you for your help.

You need to reset the printer to a wireless mode or to a default setting by pressing the wireless button and cancel button together for 3 second then the printer would start blinking then you can search for the printer on the HP smart app. Another way is to go the the internet browser with your computer and type 123.hp.com ,then type your printer name in the search bar and then download the driver and software www.123.hp.com/us/en/

I used the WPS Button on the router to set up mine, but as far as I understand the PIN should be entered in the router configuration to make it connect to the printer. It doesn't support SSID/password.
