Start pulling the back off from the middle of the hinge and work both hands along towards the front. comes off without a spudger.

Thank you for the video, would you know what the part is the ribbon cable under the left radiator fan is, my was broken when I pulled the heat pipe assembly off and system will not boot. I don't know how to identify it for a replacement. If one can even be obtained now. Brent -- hot omen not a dead omen...

My omen 15 (2018) is stuck in bios mode. I’ve disconnected the hard drive and re connected it ive tried the typical restart. All these videos ive seen show other settings on their bios that i dont have and im at a loss. Any recommendations? Im stuck at maybe i just need a new pc

if i remeber correctly its either a EEPROM (so it doesnt need a battery backup) or its powered by the laptops battery itself

Not really sure, copper cooler mostly dust free? I do suspect that the Intel chip in it just simply runs hot. Anything 7th generation and newer

@@rickstechrepairs it usually runs at 88 most of the time and the emulator pubg starts to lag. Mine is hp omen 15 dc0052nr. I wish I had known what caused it to thermal throttle. Yes my laptop throttles much

i have heard that, on some brands it seems to be intergrated in to a chip and cannot be wiped (unless via a button combo or a flash tool)

It's the main battery actually, I tried to run mine without it and a popup appeared when i turned it on letting me know that the cmos had been cleared Hope you have figured it out by this point in time PS: Mine is the 2017 model but that should have been kept the same

Hey Bro, i need ur help, the screen of my omen is ultra dark, i just can see a bit if i put a lantern in there, also theres alot of distorted lines, i tried to change the thermal paste, and them when i turned on all this problems happened, already 5 months and i dont know what to do anymore xD

It is possible that you damaged the display cable or you didn't reconnect the display cable properly, I suggest opening it back up and checking the display cable. If it's still not working then it could be a problem with the display itself which is usually not fixable and would require the whole display to be replaced, but at that point its not worth it. Distorted lines on a display is sometimes a sign of damage done to the display. A dim display maybe because the display is not receiving full power from the motherboard.
