have the same laptop. and i dont have any problems with overheating, infact its runs very cool. its a loud mashine on loads but the temps are max 85 average in all scenarios, including tests. try repasting

@@danielmendes2641 Mine too, already repasted it with kingpinx, nothing changed, pretty dissapointed at first. I also went to HP service center, they told me it was normal and suggested me to build a pc if I want a better temperature (wtf lol). Now I just follow the steps in this video to reduce the temperature (the current max temp is 73C): kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYGtZqeHa9-gha8. There's slightly FPS decrease in some games, but it's totally worth it regarding the temperature decrease.

The Intel based version of this PC was much better for some reason. Every time I got an AMD version of HPs lines I always had problems compared to the Intel products.

I picked up this laptop a few months ago, and the best thing I did was tweak the boost mode via a registry update to tell the cpu to not boost as aggressively. It's not perfect, as it does limit the CPU performance, but it runs quieter and cooler. I'm not sure why the cooler has trouble cooling it though. Maybe the cooler isn't making proper contact with the cpu and GPU? Idk. If I could have picked up a legion 5 I would have, but I managed to find this laptop (4800h+1660ti variant) for $750 so for that price I could live with the fan noise.

Can't say I like any Omen products, more like a showpiece, though I do like the copper M.2 heating. Also as a more customizable benchmarking tool I'd is recommend FPS monitor, though it does take up a little more resources than MSI Afterburner (still very little).

Have you considered the option that maybe they didn't spend their own money for it, just a thought. But either way, mine was running unacceptably high temperatures.

@@hassanroohullah8890 That's screen is no good, the memory and storage is irrelevant as you can upgrade on your own for cheap, but the things you can't upgrade matter more, CPU, GPU and hard to replace screen.

Another reviewer got over 100° too but then he updated the bios and the temperatures dropped to 87° on average for the next multiple tests (on the more powerful ryzen 7 5800h, rtx 3060).. So isn't just possible that you got a bad machine / didn't update the bios? I mean I've watched like 25+ reviews this week about this laptop and i basically never seen such results.. Even on the most powerful new versions.. It's a little hard to believe that all the other reviews I've seen are flawed and just you got it right, isn't it?

Soo.. i have been on a lookout for this one or Lenovo Legion 5 (maybe Pro). Now i noticed another possible problem. It doesn't have changeable keyboard and that could make some simple problem into an big one.

What about the cpu temp when playing AAA games such as tomb raider? Is it also reaching high temp? Cause mine also reaching 90 degree celcius, and reaching over 100 degree when playing nfs heat
