Thank you so much for this teardown video! I have disliked HP now for a long time and seeing this I think HP engineers need their head examined. CPU & GPU soldered to the logic board so if you get a logic board short you need to spend on a new processor and graphics for replacement. It's incredibly inefficient and makes this a throw away laptop if you encounter any issue with the logic board or keyboard.

The screws on the thermal interface must be unscrewed in the correct order. The numbers from 1 to 7 are here for a reason. since you unscrew it incorrectly, you can damage the processor chip or GPU

My daughter spilled coffee on the keyboard. 😢 I'm glad I found the video before disassembling everything, because he showed that the keyboard is fastened permanently to the chassis 😭 and i would have done all that for nothing. I was able to get some ☕ out but the rest may be stuck inside 😭... I'll just have to put it back together and🤞

You do know that the screws on the heatsink are numbered for a reason, right? You could damage the cpu and gpu crystals.

Sounds like still under 1 year old, you should keep using until warranty expires. Then you apply new thermal paste.

So my right speaker is lower in volume compared to my left and i was thinking of replacing it myself. Try use minimum pressure to lift it up. Thermal paste and thermal pad is dry up and holding it down

My r key on this laptop is broken and i've taken the key and little 2 piece frame out and tried replacing it but that didn't seem to fix it. By broke i mean sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I'm really bummed out that i can't just replace the keyboard. Is there any other possible fix? Like would replacing the little rubber part possibly fix it? Or is my r key doomed. Thanks for the video!

Hi, I replaced my speakers because they were going up and down in volume. So I put the new ones in and they didn't work. I then put the old ones back in and those don't work now either. @@junaidakramabbasi9789 You need to compare the specs side by side. I believe omen 15t ek is the same family laptop. Some may have more ram, or higher graphic card or bigger NVme SSD storage. It's all up to you to find the right specs for your need and budget.
