@JeffTheITGuy3 жыл бұрын
RPM does not determine how good a fan cools. There is a lot that goes into it, such as fan design, number of fins, angle of the fins, etc. The fans in the Omen have low static pressure ( ability to push/pull air through something) which hinders their ability to move air in and out of the case. Also, I am sure your CPU is what is overheating and the stock cooler sucks

@ZGib-bn2uu3 жыл бұрын
Weird. That’s not how radiator fans are designed to work. The heat from the CPU is transferred to the radiator via the liquid and the heat is rejected to the outside of the case by the air moved from the exhaust fan. (I’m an HVAC contractor BTW.) But you may have accidentally stumbled into a decent theory…. What may be happening is you’re taking the room air (much cooler air than the air in the case) and running it across the radiator which allows more heat to be absorbed from the AIO radiator. You’re rejecting that heat into the case, which can’t be good, but then it is almost immediately removed by the 92mm fan. I might have to give this a shot and see what happens.

Thanks for the video. Curious how did you get the liquid cooler attached to the top of the case. Mine is air cooled but when trying to upgrade to liquid no place to mount the radiator. There is a metal plate there!! Blocking the air flow. I took that off but no mounting holes for rad and fans. Did your 30l come with liquid cooling?thanks

My plate had 4 punch out plates and you punched those metal plates out and it makes a cross pattern and you attach the cooler there.

Would these happen to work with a fan deck by chance? I'd love to have some exterior knobs to fiddle with. I currently have a stick AIO cooled 10700k with the 3070 30l. Either way I think I'll be mimicking what you've done with yours. Great video!

@@JeffTheITGuy will do. I'm a little hesitant to try the fan deck without a guide and will probably just pick up the fans you point to in your description and the h60 AIO. also the rear fan should be an intake so it can direct fresh cool air from outside into the aio.
@JeffTheITGuy3 жыл бұрын
Then it messes with the pressure in the case. You would have to swap the back 92mm to be intake and the front to be exhaust. They way that it is done here causes a natural flow of the air and allows for air to move over the VRMs. More to cooling that just the chip.
