Mr.K8, great channel, lots of good info! I'm not a hardcore gamer or overclocker, and only buy prebuilts every 4-5 years. Would you recommend the 40L instead of the 45L w/ the cryo chamber? The reason I ask is because I found a 40L w/ a i7-12700K, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 3080 for only $1599 usd, which seems likes a solid deal. What do you think?

I think the 40L is a great computer. You may need to add a few fans, but u see temps and know if u need. The Cryo Chamber on 45L is exceptional but for the CPU. So if you not run super heavy CPU games/ programmes. The 40L is superb. Go for it.

@@mr.k885 Thanks for you thoughts, I appreciate them! Actually I just found a refurb 45L for only $20 more (just 500bg less ssd storage), so I think I'll just go with that just like you did!

@S2 Grand The SSD storage is expensive. And it make your computer run fast. With only 500GB SSD, I would put in a lot of HDD storage. Save all games, pictures, videos, programmes etc on the HDD. Keep your SSD as free as possible. That way your computer stay fast. Good luck. Let's hear if you get happy with your purchase.

@S2 Grand I got a deal I believe was wrong pricing. I got my 45L for 50 cents less than my 40L from the shop. But I got massive upgrades. Gpu = 3060 ti to 3070 ti Psu = 600 w gold to 800 w gold Ram = 16GB to 32 GB + fans 3 more in the 45 L And the Cryo chamber And SSD = 1TB to 2TB SSD All those upgrades I got and I saved 50 cents. Both computers where brand new from the shop.

Yes. New top of the line tech is not cheap. i9 13900k, RTX 4090, 32GB ram DDR5 , 1TB ssd + 1TB hdd, 1200w 80 plus gold PSU = not cheap anywhere. Question is : should one buy, Ryzen 9 5900X, 3080 ti, 64GB ram DDR4, 2TB ssd + 2TB hdd, 800w 80 plus gold cheaper instead of intel 13th gen and nvidia 4000 series ?

I would like to order the updated 45L with the RTX4090, but I need to see more reviews before I pull the "trigger"...lol By the way this HP Omen 45L w/RTX4090 has way better spec and pricing vs the Alienware R15 w/RTX4090
