Does anyone know what the thin cable coming out of the right side corner of the screen assembly is? Not talking about the WiFi antenna cables but the other thin cable with the clear brown tape on it. It follows a track under the keyboard and in this video, terminates with a plug connecting to a receptacle on the motherboard. On my dv6458se, I have this same cable but it isn't connected to anything. I'm curious to know what it was for.

I think you are referring to the onboard webcam cable, or either to the microphone cabling ... Many Pavillions had both a camera & dual MIC setup build in on the top side of the screen ...
