I could have sworn that CDF used to be able to guess the number of arguments and it just stopped working all of a sudden. I would have never guessed that you need to specify the number of arguments that way. Thank you!

Thank you for this tutorial! Long time 28S user just looking for where the basic functions reside.
@jac31074 жыл бұрын
Very good. In the example of 24^2, "ENTER" can be omitted: 24 X^2, and the result (576) will be put in stack level 1, that should work with all the one-argument functions. Thank you for the video.

Another amazing concise tutorial!

4 enter 5 x^y works as 4 enter 5 y^x in RPN Mode (what is usefull but there is no note for this, not even in the manual)

I owned the 11C, 48SX, 48GX, and 49G+ I loved loved loved the 11c and 48GX! I have the 48GX (favorite) on my phone and iPad. Now I have this on my PC :D (Okay, this is my first day with the Prime, so we'll see).

Each line of the stack is called a REGISTER, not a stack.

Good job Eddie. Very clear.

You can also put both arguments in the same edit line, so 5 space 3 plus, gives 8, so you don't press enter on each argument

Can you programming it as you normally do in the old HP48GX? (pure RPN)
@theedspage8 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no. The programming module of the Prime is similar to the HP 38g and 39g series.
@godzillazumagod91466 жыл бұрын
I always use rpn.

Is the RPN on the HP Prime the same as in the 48/49/50 series ? I heard on several forums that it' a downgrade from the previous RPN calculators ...
@theedspage8 жыл бұрын
+mustapha DAOUDI Unfortunately (for now) the RPN is as complete as the 48/49/50 series in my opinion.

You need not press ENTER to do one-argument functions. They work exactly as in algebraic mode.

Why would comma mean 'swap'? Crazy.
@LarsBohr57 жыл бұрын
If you look closely at the comma key you will see that it has swap arrows as the shift function.
@sammichael20225 жыл бұрын
It doesn't. There is a swap sign on the same key.

So useful it is not put on the keys. Other hps do.

Cos pi=0.998497149864 on all of my calculators including HP Prime handheld. But I get the same result as you (-1) on the HP Prime Emulator.

Got you. I can see now what's going on. I don't understand the math behind it yet, but at least everything is OK with the calculator, Thanks Dirk Dresia

+Retel Tulio You need to set your calculator to Radians instead of Degrees.

What an evolution ... 1) no 1/X function ... have ever been an engineer .... that not good 2) clear characters on button ... hardly visible .... My HP-22S is damage ... but HP prime is not the replacement .. buying an old HP22S will be a better option than HP prime

1) is Shift ➗ 2) very clear! HP Prime is very good! From long time HP user (HP 45, HP 65 HP 41C & a promo gift HP 12) edit. How could I have forgotten... and an HP 28S
