HP has made minor updates compared to the older Gen 5 devices for the ProBook 450 G6, an entry-level business laptop from HP aimed at small and medium businesses. The G6 systems are now powered by Intel’s 8th Gen Whisky Lake processors. While the dimensions have been shaved off a little. Let’s take a closer look at the ProBook G6 and see if it is worth purchasing one of these business workhorses.

Reviewing the 470 G7 as I type for the past two weeks. IPS display is superior compared to the G6 panel, 300 nits brightness and excellent viewing angles. Video out next week! 😃

I do like mine that I just got, but I can't find out what headsets would be compatible with the single combo audio/mic jack. I'm not even sure whether it's 3.5mm or what. If anyone has any suggestions for headsets, I'd be very grateful. And would a wireless/bluetooth headset work... do those things still have to take up a USB slot? MUCH THANKS.

Hie, did you end up fixing this problem? its the touch drivers. Go to settings - mouse settings - additional options - properties - hardware - update hardware - then click the synaptic option amd restart your laptop

Hello, Does the chassis material is different in Europe countries, because I’ve seen some reviews in russian which I don’t understand and they seem to say plastic about the bottom part. I’m interested to buy it (it’s price is 589 euro in my country) but it’s very important to me to be all aluminum (except the 2 parts that you mentioned) I would be very glad if you reply

UK models, the bottom cover is made of plastic, aluminium is found in the chassis surrounded by plastic. ProBooks around the world tend to be more plastic than metal due to cost. Only the more expensive EliteBooks and ZBooks have aluminium chassis'.

Is there a reason why it has to be aluminium? Are you after a lightweight laptop and/or a durable one? It will be difficult to find something in that price range new. Nearest recommendation is the HP Envy x360 13 (2020) IMO

Not really, the ProBook is more of a general business laptop. Archicad requires a OpenGL graphics card with 2GB. Looking at the HP ZBook range instead.

@@stefanstankovic3046 Try to check battery properties in BIOS at first. Ther may be an issue with the battery (caused by quite a long discharged state during transportation). If the battery is ok, then try to adjust brightness of your display, close unneccessary background services and apps. The other issue that may have caused that - is your wifi/bluetotth connection, amount of opened tabs in your browser or something else.

@@mb7945 AMD and Intel processors run all Windows applications. If you want an Intel i5 version, look at the HP 250 G7 range. The 250 and 255 are budget level laptops.

Good question, it does have Power Delivery on the USB-C port however I would not recommend charging the laptop using this method. Stick to the official HP 45W power adapter.

After 1 year of using this laptop, I have to replace the keyboard. Two keycaps have just come loose, although I've always been very careful. To my surprise, I can only replace top cover + keyboard, which costs me 25% of the original price of the whole laptop. Not a good deal for me.
