Unbelievable that HP still sells premium laptops with terrible screens. Great for upgradability, but this is just wrong. And also puting power button in the middle between other buttons is unforgivable.
@Dovecomputers2 күн бұрын
Dell do the same with these VA 300 nits display panels. Totally agree with the power button, such a bad design choice.
@davidk73922 сағат бұрын
To be fair, the power button doesn't do anything if you press down on it quickly. Been using a similar model and I've had no issues for a couple years of daily use.

I like that the SSD is upgradable with a 2280 SSD and good ports. This makes it easy to work with for the user and IT department technicians. All employees dealing with data analysis, finance, and accounting will like it. Weakness is the 4 core ARC iGPU. It is barely above Intel Iris XE (worst iGPU on the market). Hard pass for gaming, video editing, or any intensive use of the GPU. Also, the battery life is worse than the previous iteration (X1 Carbon Gen 11).

The Yoga Slim 7x with Snapdragon X Elite CPU is the nearest rival to the MacBook Air M2/M3.
@akin2420026 күн бұрын
CPU, web camera, adjutable RAM, adjutable SSD, ports, and portability are good. Only issues are dull color accuracy (below 75% DCI-P3 score) and some motherboard issues when adjusting the RAM. The GPU isn't good if you don't get the 8 core ARC version.

@@dareemmanuel6079 The fan noise is minimal with the 155H even when running things like Blender. Performance takes a hit when on battery.

I didn't even know they made a Yoga 6i! However, based on your review, it seems like a lower-tier (mediocre) version of the slim 7i . Battery life, keyboard, and trackpad are subpar. I guess if priced right, someone will buy it. At least it has ports.

Hi!, between these two, which would you choose? taking into account that the only thing I'm worried about is the temps and that they might suffer thermal throttling... My use would be: Light code, casual gaming, lots of web browsing, dual bool with Ubuntu/Windows. - P14s G5 ( R7 PRO 8840 HSM 32 GB RAM, 100% sRGB & 400 Nits ) for around 1200 USD - T14s G4 (R7 PRO 7840U, 32GB RAM, 100% sRGB & 400 Nits) for around 1240 USD. Nice review Btw!.
@Dovecomputers9 күн бұрын
Thanks. T14s as this will have the power efficient 7840U (cool running) but plenty of power for your needs. The 8840HS runs hotter and faster but the performance gain over the 7840U is minimal. Funny enough I've been recently circulating the P14s G5, Lenovo have the same spec (2.5K WQXGA) for £792 plus taxes ($1000) I like my bargains!

@@Dovecomputers Hey, thanks for responding so quickly to my concern, I really appreciate it... I think the T14s is the winner ^^. I hope it drops in price further or Lenovo US comes up with a tempting offer in the next few months, I hope to have my wallet ready.
