On my machine, there was a plastic bezel between the metal lid and the glass, also a wide plastic trim by the bottom edge. You need to remove the glass only and leave the plastic bezel, as spare display come without the bezel/ frame. If you do my mistake and destroy the plastic bezel, you are up to replace the complete lid assy. I doubt very much that you will manage to remove the display without cracking it, but that should not matter as I can only imagine that you are removing the display because it is faulty in the first place.

In the video you are using a double side tape, I am wondering what is the importance of this?. is the tape an special one or just a regular double side tape? I am planning to do the same pressure in mu laptop computer this coming Monday. thank you for sharing.
