So I just bought this beauty. Mostly for work but be good to know what games I can expect to play on it. I wouldn't even have assumed to try Battlefield on it. But what about Pillars of Eternity, Endless Legend, and Tower defense games? Just bought Deathtrap as it seemed like a good level game for this thing.

Hi! great video :) Do you know if Im supposed to turn it off? Because I know that in the case of macs most people just leave them at "rest" all the time, like we do with iphones that we almost never turn off. But I don´t know if an HP Spectre x360 also works this way or if it would stop working if it was not turned off for say, a month.

Hi Andrew, first thank you for the video. Secondly, I did a review of all 2015 ultrabooks and so far HP Spectre is #1 on my list. As per your experience is the heating an issue for this model? Btw, I am just an average user, not a gamer, using mostly the internet, email and few other applications ocassionaly. Thank you for your feedback.
@peterm.abrahambsnrn41987 жыл бұрын
Was this on the 13" or the 15" model?
@prabha23utube9 жыл бұрын
Compared to XPS ,spectre x360 seems hotter,but do you think spectre x360 is the hottest machine in this category of ultrabooks or other ultrabooks you tested so far?the temperature test results make me feel that spectre x360 is terribly hot.(because the numbers doesn't mean much to me as you only compared with xps which I haven't used so I can't put this into perspective to understand how hot the device is).is the temperature test result normal for a ultrabook of this category?or it's up normally hot?.You might have tested thousands of ultrabooks for stress tests so far, what do make of Spectre x360's temperature ?is it the worst you have seen?or this result is quite normal? I know I asked too much question,it's because I decided to buy this machine but now bit concerned about heat,I never bought a HP laptops because of their poor heat management but this seemed a nice machine.Anyway it would be very much useful if you could answer clarify all my doubts.Thank you.

@kamalmasarweh9 жыл бұрын
Also interested to know about the temperature and noise in tablet mode!
@Eternal20079 жыл бұрын
SimplyBergman Hi Bergman.. in Tablet mode the overall temperatures were pretty good. The only area where it was warm was the bottom left where the fan is. The fan noise was pretty quiet for the most part however it does kick on and off depending on your usage. The average CPU temperatures were around 51 degrees Celsius with a high up to 70 degrees Celsius. I was browsing websites like CNN, CNET, Yahoo and mixed video streaming like Netflix and KZbin. This was a 25 minute test and I was pretty satisfied with the overall heat performance in tablet mode.

If I'm looking to play games like League of Legends or Overwatch on this laptop casually, how will it do?
@HumorousObject7 жыл бұрын
Hey, not sure if you are still interested in the laptop but figured I'd reply. I have it myself and play LoL on it while at school and I usually get anywhere between 60-120fps. HOWEVER, after awhile (3 games) my fps will go all the way down to 2-5fps. Yeah. I think its because of how hot the laptop is getting so I just ordered a cooling fan for it. Otherwise, it can run LoL at very high settings easily and still maintain anywhere between 60-120fps.
@RubyDoobieScoo8 жыл бұрын
how does this compare to the spectre X2? and how well will they run Europa Universalis 4? it's a fairly heavy cpu centric game and whether a laptop/laptop tablet hybrid can run it will decide whether I buy it so if anyone has any insight or recommendations it would be greatly appreciated, I'm looking to spend 2000 at the very most.

Nice video man, Im look to buy a new slim lightweight laptop mostly for studying but also for some gaming once in a while, i will not use it for heavy gaming tough (Overwatch, World of tanks, Civ) and im really concidering this alternative as it seems to be the best of these kind of "bendable laptops/tablets" but how does the HP Spectre x360 compare to the Yoga 900 or the Yoga 3Pro? Thanks ahead for answers :)
@altzard61707 жыл бұрын
perhaps im late but ill still anwer, first dont get the pro 3, a core m sucks big time, and between the yoga 900 and the spectre i would recommend the spectre, it has a better screen and support for synaptics, in the looks i personally rather lenovos but is beacose im biased towards the xps 13 wich has a sandiwch look such as lenovos yoga, in resume yo shoukd get the spectre but thats my opinion

@Eternal20079 жыл бұрын
schuschu52 The Intel HD 5500 will not be able to run Skyrim above 30 FPS. However, you can run it at very low settings at 1280 x 720 and get an average of 27 fps.

@Eternal20079 жыл бұрын
lajloka1 In some test it does run sorta hot. However, during casual usage the temperatures were pretty good it was just a tad higher than the Dell XPS 13.
@prabha23utube9 жыл бұрын
Hey andrew.you said at the left top corner around vet it seemed hotter,and at the bottom too,but is it uncomfortably hot or just feels little bit warmer?.what about other parts of the machine?are they cool to touch?.and compared to XPS how hot does Spectra x360 feel to touch?is it significantly hotter to touch compared to XPS or not much difference when you touch both machine at the same time?
@Eternal20079 жыл бұрын
Josh Hey Josh, it's not uncomfortably hot but it feels very warm. The rest of the body is pretty cool compared to those areas I mentioned. The XPS 13 is indeed cooler overall from the internal parts to the keyboard section. The full aluminum on the Spectre x360 is very nice but it just attracts heat more than Carbon fiber with soft touch material which is found on the palm rest of the XPS 13.
@prabha23utube9 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks Andrew.So i think this is not a big deal breaker for me considering tones of good features packed with this machine..definitely will go for spectre x360.Thank you for the wonderful review.
@fennec79069 жыл бұрын
***** Great review! So, because the machine throttles and the Dell XPS doesn't, would you say the Dell is better at multitasking? I'm a heavy multitask user. On my current laptop I usually have a video playing with 20+ Chrome windows open among other programs. So I'm wondering if due to high temperatures this will become problematic and cause crashing, freezing or sluggish performance? Also, if I was to rest the laptop on my bed (where I watch movies) will the back middle of the laptop get too hot since that's where part of the ventilation is? I'm a bit leery about HP products because a number of HP owners I know have issues with their HP's overheating. Plus, wouldn't the temperatures affect the longevity of the laptop? Overall I like the design of this laptop better than the Dell XPS 13 and It's a big plus that I get an extra USB 3.0 port and better keyboard. Looking forward to a reply.

Among Elitebook Folio 1020, Dell XPS 13 and Spectre x360 13t Elitebook is the coolest i mean temp, but oh well (; specre is the second and Dell XPS 13 is the hottest. it can get really hot, 10 degrees above the norm
