glad the replacement non genuine screen a student purchased included the brackets and double sided adhesive, was able to just remove it i guess its due to it being the touch screen version, just had to re-enable the touch screen in device manager once it booted and bam all working, glad its not like the newer machines that require heat guns to melt the glue

Why would you remove the new digitizer from the bezel it came with and glue it to the old one instead of just attaching the new digitizer and bezel assembly?

To keep money. Most likely the customer paid for the completed assembly and they saw it was reusable. So they used the one and kept that part to use it somewhere else, even if the customer paid full price.

No cracked screen here but my digitizer is reading mirrored. I'll touch at top left and it registers the cursor at the bottom left. Like it's inverted on a line through the middle of the screen

@@dle632 and @Jose Monroy, Yes it is possible BUT you need to be very carefull when you seperate them. When you want to remove the LCD from the glass make the TAPE not glue (there is no glue used just tape) a little bit warm with a hair dryer just a little bit and the put a bankcard or something like that between the glass and the lcd. Just be carefull and slowly

Great video but, I don't understand why do you detach frame from the touchscreen and then stick it back??? It looks I have the same problem with HP x360 11-ab100nf (it looks exactly like on the movie): display work but touchscreen is broken. Is it separated from LCD screen in this model like on this movie? Can it be bought separately? I have a big problem to find it on the web just with the HP model number.

so quick question, I accidentally pressed on my screen too hard ( i was trying to glue it, since it was lifting) it was not cracked and touchscreen was working fine. However, after I glued it and pressed to much pressure, i cracracked the screen from the top ( next to the camera, but the camera still works) the crack is mainly on the top but it did make 2 split cracks which are not rough( the one on top has the rough pieces) , the laptop still works except now its only touch screen from like an inch at the bottom. My question is where did you find this screen? can you post their website, I can't find any for the x360 spectre 13in( i bought this laptop in 2009 if that helps) anyways 1) SHOULD I JUST FIX THE SCREEN LIKE YOU DID AND HOPE THE TOUCHSCREEN WORKS AGAIN? 2) WOULD I HAVE TO PURCHASE THE TOUCHSCREEN CONNECTOR AS WELL? 3) WOULD I ALSO HAVE TO BUY A NEW LCD DISPLAY? I JUST WANT MY TOUCHSCREEN TO BE WORKING, I called several places around and even hp and I can't get anyone to fix it. I'm okay with doing it myself, I just need a website, and make sure I purchase the right stuff. Hopefully you can help with that. You will definitely gain a subscriber

The having the touch screen isn't that important to you and you want to dish out the money right now you can just disable the touch screen... Just disable the drivers in device manager.. If u really need it then yea ur gonna have to change the entire thing

@@akashsen357 I'm not worried about the touch, but the liquid is interfering with the responses i.e the system is getting confused between the touch screen's responses and the mousepad's. I'll try the hack mentioned above though. Thanks man.✌🏽
