The HP ZBook Power G8 is a mobile workstation laptop made by HP designed for CADs, graphic work and video editing. It features an Intel Core i7 CPU, 32GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, but there are different versions with different components available. Possibly the best mobile workstation for CADs of 2022, this laptop is designed for intense CAD, graphics and video editing. This is one of the best latpop for video editing. The HP ZBook Power G8 workstation for CADs features an easy access panel which is removed by just 5 screws and gives clear access to replace the RAM, Battery and NVMe SSDs. The HP Zbook Power G8 is a great studio laptop for video editing.
The HP ZBook series are the best mobile workstation laptops for CADs and video editing I would buy at the moment as the quality is outstanding and they have great specs. Given the price, however, I would expect a better webcam for video conferencing. Laptops for CADs and video editing need to be powerfull and have lots of memory, which this laptop workstation has. I have one and I'm not happy with the fan noise, when I'm just doing simple tasks on it, the laptop gets hot which makes it noisy, I hope HP fixes this in the upcoming releases

hello, i am trying to decide a buy laptop. i am not a creator, engineer but i need CPU power and a little GPU power because of the financial trading programs. These programs need H series CPU that have more core for algo trading. But i do not decide a work station or gaming PC . Legion 5 PRo, Dell XPS 15 , HP Zbook G9 or Fury ? can you give an advice? i concern about stability, thermal issues and a little mobility.

Hey, I wouldnt generally not reccomend Lenvovo as I've found their quality to be a little hit and miss and there has been speculation about China spying through them. Dell I went off a few years ago because of build quality and their use of refurbish (but still broken) parts for repairs. HP is what I mostly use now, the Zbooks are a great line of laptop with a solid build quality, I've used several at work and they have been great and had no problems at all. If you don't need GPU then I would say the Zbook Power G9 would be fine for you.

@@NeilWiddowson thank you for your reply. GPU is not the main point for me but CPU important. My programs use CPU power % 10-30 in general but need more core, so New H series Intel CPU i need, HP zbook power G9 12700h is a good choice for me i think. Only i concern about thermal issues

Hi, can you use a 100W GaN Charger on that TVolt Port to use the laptop at no full load?

You can charge through the main power plug, but not via the USBC port. Sorry I don't understand what you mean by tvolt port?

The g8 is quite old. The g9 series has been out since 2020

This is not correct. HP ZBOOK G8 came in 2021 and G9 came in 2022.
