Thank for this short review. I am so looking forward to the dreamcolor models available from April on. It must be stunning, very similar to OLED without the risk of burn in and the high power consumption. Was it a reviewing unit from HP?

nice video. I have one and I love the screen. if I were to be picky, you could have shown the different color spaces with the dreamcolor assistant app. I calibrated mine with the i1 using the built-in calibration software, adn the were very little changes meaning HP did an excellent job in out of the factory calibration.

i have this laptop now and i have heat problem in the top of keyboard .heat goes to 95degree in ordinary work and I changed the silicon of CPU but its have the heat problem .can any one help me ? its normal ??

I already had i7-8850H model with only Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630. Is that possible that to add NVIDIA Quadro P1000/P2000 GPU to this unit? Does it has the available slot for this?

Can you do comparisons in the future? I have Zbook Studio G4 and briefly had G5. I bought a G5 last week but I was concerned about the lower processor speeds despite it having 6 cores. Any comments on this?

@ The G5s have good life and you can buy extras for travel but remember it's the applications that drain the battery.

Hello... What about compare to your HP Zbook 17 G1 from performance point? In 4.52 min I listen "It's way better there is no comparison" Maybe you mean slim and thin in general. How is cooling in this thin profile because CPU is still 45w, like G1, but six core now -maybe more heat?

The biggest difference in the full size laptop is the GPU, the new CPU's are better but not THAT much better. Considering you can get a Zbook 17 G1-2 for $250-$500 bux, its hard to justify spending significantly more on a Studio G5 especially when the 8 core CPU's are just around the corner. I would either go cheap now or go for 8 core when they are released. Outside of the GPU, the biggest other difference in the newer laptops is the battery life. I am hoping the next Zbook 17 G6 has a larger screen with a slimmer bezel and holding out for that or the G7. My G1 has literally not aged a day. Hope that helps.

@@cenkaetaya Thanks for information. If you compare GPU, K5100M in Zbook 17 G1/G2 is in the same level of performance like p1000m in this laptop, and 15 percent slow then GTX 1050(mobile). This info is from notebookcheck. Yes of cource, battery life is not that good like new Zbook, but battery is replaceable. This is not possible with a new laptop like Zbook.

It largely depends on the software you want / need to use. To start you want at least a quad core 45w processor. 16GB ram should be sufficient for most users but 32 is better and its easy to upgrade after the initial purchase. Graphics card wise, often today you can get away using a standard gaming card but for design the Quadro series will always be better. If you are on a tight budget the older Zbook series such as the G2 15 and 17 inch version can be picked up very cheaply on ebay in near mint condition. Hope that helps!

Its hard to say on these laptops as it greatly depends on what you are doing with it + the GPU, but generally you should get at least 4 hours. These laptops have much more power then a regular ultrabook, so if you are running many things, battery will drain very fast.

Thanks for replay, I own studio G3 I'm very happy so far however, battery is about 2hrs which is not Good!. I also own ThinkPad P51 and very similar spec which last around 6-8hrs.

@@barciupawlowski Which GPU do you have and is it set on auto or dedicated? Usually the battery difference is in how the GPU handles switching between CPU / GPU. If the GPU is always on, itl drain more life. However you should get more then that, I have a Zbook 17 G1 and i get like 3-3.5 hours with a Quadro K3100m.
